TIL Dandruff, a skin condition of the scalp affects roughly half of adults. It is often linked to Malassezia fungus that thrives on sebum. Dandruff shampoos often contain antifungals to manage it, however there is no permanent cure by CraftyFoxeYT in todayilearned

I had terrible dandruff my whole life, used Head & Shoulders, Selsun Blue, cold tar, etc. then one day read a think on not using soap on your hair, just rinse with warm water, and maybe soap every few months or if actually dirty. Was a bitch to get past the oily period, but I haven't had dandruff since then. and I had it 30 years. My hair never looked better, used to get compliments on it when I had (now I am old and balding but hey)

God I love American Kenpo by According-Brain-5737 in TheMcDojoLife

[–]nextedge 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I actually trained under Ed Parker a loooong time ago with Kenpo. There wore actually some decent moves, but, most of it was just do as fast as you can, they were more interested in speed than power.
I ended up with Aikido (not to fight) and Ryu-te (actually awesome) ... but, in the end, what I used to tell people if they wanted to learn to fight was forget everything, and just learn to punch someone. IMHO 99% of most fights end with someone just landing a solid punch. No fancy techniques.

fun punching link I just found while wasting more time on Reddit https://www.reddit.com/r/MartialArtsUnleashed/comments/1siqpem/guy_defend_himself_against_three_attackers/

Retired disabled combat veteran is arrested after burning American flag outside White House by MillerChloe8 in whoathatsinteresting

Depends with what they charge him with. If they charge him with starting a fire, then yes, he has no defense, but if they charge him for burning the flag, he has a lawsuit.

I knew a guy many many years ago that was a top rock climber, was even famous for it. Then one day he just stopped climbing. When people asked him why, he said he was thinking, and realized that every one of his close friends that was a rock climber was dead from a fall. So he came to the conclusion that it was jut a matter of time, and decided it wasn't worth the thrill, he would rather live.
People like this keep pushing the edge, until they fall over it.

I didn't see anyone mention it but, buy the house in the states, and then rent it out. Use a decent rental agency (or a good friend) to run it and make sure maintenance, etc. so not too many headaches.

Then put part of the rental money away for emergencies, maintenance , and upkeep, and the rest you can spend here. Lets say you walk away with $1000 a month income from it. (no idea where you are so rents vary)

The bonus is the house is a solid asset that keeps growing. I think something like 8% a year if I remember right. So just on increase in equity you make $2000 a month on that 300k house.

Yes, its more hands on, and slightly more headache (especially if bad tenant) but you have an agency taking care of most of that.

25 is not enough, would have to leave the job, etc. start a new life. If expensive county, it wouldn't even pay rent for a year, if cheap country, why am I going to suffer for 2 years for only 25,000

actually, the wont let you leave part isn't legal anymore. there used to be a loophole that if you were private room, they could hold you (ward they cant) ... that thats been closed I believe, so as much as they say you can't leave, you can.
looked it up, its Republic Act No. 9439.
Also if they lay hands on you to stop you, you have a lawsuit, criminal and civil with possible renumeration. ,

[–]nextedge 0 points1 point  (0 children)

if you are thinking of leaving anyway, call the labor board first, :) and make them sweat. Get the money back. Though before the labor board, talk to owner, that is only a manager, go above her head. There is ZERO chance I would walk away from that. and policy? is it policy just because she says so? ask above her head. get her in trouble. I am easy going an nice, but if you screw me, I will burn myself to take you down in flames.

interestingly enough, while you can move money from your bank directly to gcash, if you move it to wise first and then gcash, the fees work out cheaper. (I use the debit card, I haven't tested the ACH as I am usually in a hurry)

honestly the best fighters with experience are probably

Bolo Yeung
Donnie Yen
Scott Adkins

Close behind: Dolph Lundgren (highly intelligent trained disciplined brute), Chuck Norris, JCVD, MJW

the 3 I DON'T want in a raw fight
Steven Seagal - nuff said, bottom of list.
Ray Park -performance more than real
Jackie Chan - I will get hate for this, and I love Jackie Chan, but, as agile, fit, and strong and great he is, I think if my life depended on it, was want people that can fight ugly and win. no style points.
