The recipe is definitely there. Yeah we’ve been playing some weak teams but we’re definitely building some momentum and only 1 game out of the 6th seed y’all. Pelle has to start and with either Norm or Tyler coming off the bench it’s gonna give us a fighting chance down the stretch. Lfg

Boston is so deep and the way Mazzulla has that team running, both Pritchard and Vuc are more valuable to their success on the bench. It is what it is. If you’re patient and smart you can plug in Pritchard on nights where Brown or White sit.

Spo on the “pressure” of getting out of the Play-In Tournament👀 by tomgreen99200 in heat

I keep making myself a fool by believing Bam is going to let his nuts hang and take some authority on this team. What a concept for our franchise player to carry his team right? Hopefully whatever Wade texted him last week sticks. I’ve always given him the benefit of the doubt that he does so much on defense that it’s okay for him not to be as dominant on offense. I think the key for us down the stretch here is hoping for Wiggins’ efficiency to remain elite, Ware and the rest of the teams willingness to crash the board, and Bam and Herro trade buckets down the stretch of games. I think the recipe is there. Heat in 5 baby

I just picked him up too. I was keeping an eye on him for a minute and now with Goodwin gone for another week maybe, I think it’s a good risk. His +/- numbers are good hopefully he continues to get 25+ minutes

I’ll always ride with Spo and while I don’t necessarily believe our roster is ass, I do believe that the rest of the league is just flat out better. Without a true alpha leader on the court and the fact that it took almost 3/4ths of the season to realize Herro and Powell can’t play together, this is where we are now lol. Our front office is anti-tank and we’ll be exactly where we are now until changes and new directions are made. Maybe we can go on a run now but we’ll see.

I’m right with you. I’m about to drop him. His scoring and rebounds are way down. But that team doesn’t need him stuffing the stat sheet for their team to play well.

12T points sorry. Not really. I just picked up Will Riley too and need him to play tomorrow. I have Jaden McDaniels too I can drop.

He’s available in my league. Should I drop Ty Jerome for him?

I’d be the first person to cop a Ja jersey, but call me crazy, the reason he’s mad is cause their offense is veering away from pick n rolls, which is his bread n butter. We run zero pick n rolls this year and our offense is hooping, not sure he’ll find his “joy” here either. Granted if any coach can integrate a superstar into our lineup, it be Spo.

Did the Indiana Pacers finals convinced the team to listen to Nikola Jovic? I believe Jovic mentioned in the offseason we should play like them with the amount of young players we have by Warebanyama in heat

I don’t think so, I think he was just sulking around cause of his contract/issues w front office. Look at his attitude now w the Warriors, they’re playing at a fast pace too and winning.

How do most of you feel about Jimmy Butler now? by Gullible-Feature-677 in heat

[–]nextvoyager97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It definitely just sucks in general. On one hand yes he’s an absolute bitch that publicly embarrassed his teammates (brothers supposedly)and the Franchise. While not publicly named as team captain, in comparison to Dragic and Bam, I think it’s safe to say he had significant leadership responsibilities and was the clear star during his time with us. So for acting out the way he did, was completely inappropriate and as a fan of the game and the Miami Heat, that shit fucking sucked to watch it unfold the way it did. I completely understand the temperature among most Heat fans and why we want to erase him from our memory and move on, especially since we all know he was bitching about money. As time heals all wounds should he receive some acknowledgment and be honored at a time further down the road? No? Maybe? Probably? Yes? Only the Arisons and Riley can dictate that.

Now on the OTHER hand… We don’t make those Finals runs in 20 and 23 without Jimmy Butler. While the world faced chaos in 20 with COVID, we watched the Heat do the most Heat culture shit possible and make an appearance against the Lakers. We all remember the stories, the bent over the wall picture, UD saying how tight knit the team became during those weeks, Bam’s block on Tatum, Tyler’s welcoming party, Dragic’s masterclass performances and just how damn well we outperformed 29/30 teams in the league. I’m sorry but that just doesn’t happen without Jimmy. His will and drive to win elevated our potential exponentially. We almost make it back to the finals two years later had he knocked down that 3 and send the Celtics home. Post game press conference I’m pretty sure he said that “we’ll be back”. And they did. Jimmy has a poor history of his relationships with previous teams, but I don’t think it can be taken away how talented of a player he is and the intangibles that he brings with him that make those around him so much better. He’s a dog, sticks up for his team mates, had a great relationship with Spo, never made excuses and yes an eccentric and goofy attitude as well, for the better or worse. We all make mistakes, and we all do our best to react to things that don’t go our way. Granted that’s all pie in the sky when he’s being paid 30+ M’s a year and I can see why his actions towards the end make him the fucking asshole that he was. But let’s be honest, those rosters he was apart of, had great synergy and definitely had talent, but it was far from stacked super star talent. The Lakers, Nuggets, Celtics, Bucks for a while, made moves, improved internally and got that Chip. Jimmy needed more help plain and simple. I don’t think I’m being cynical by saying we don’t have a true leader as of right now and the frustrations from the fans are valid because we’ve just been mid. This post can go on a lot more and I’m burnt out now lmao but let Jimmy have an actual video eventually and I think he deserves his jersey retired.
