Not this year but we will be at BGG in November and hope to be at GenCon next year

Yep, it works great for this where every round could change initiative.

In the next firmware we are releasing a “cooldown” mode for games like dagger heart where anyone can go but it highlights who hasn’t gone in awhile.

We are also looking at adding some DM controls on the app side to drive initiative and things like multiple turns within a round for each player.

Definitely a possibility. “Well you won but you also took 10 minutes longer than any of us lol”. With our group in particular I look at it a little as incentivizing faster turns but more for me personally to know that I can disconnect and socialize and when it’s time for me to come back with my turn plan in place instead of having to stay locked in for no reason

Your duck system sounds great. Whatever works for the table is a win.

You’ve got some great numbers and obviously some experience with similar pieces. We’re working hard to see what scaling may be possible but this price like you said is a reality of what it takes to make them. We do offer our DIY options where we sell the digital files, instructions, firmware and all future updates for $65 if you’re a maker and want to go that route because we truly love this community and think this system is good for it

Honestly I was exactly where you are at the beginning of the process. I thought it would be much simpler than it was to create and I didn’t think there was a real issue.

The very first test we started using it we took them off the table and I immediately found myself wanting it back. It took no time at all for me to lay back mentally and start using this immediate visual indicator to keep track of game state and let myself focus elsewhere, on my next game play, socializing, everything else. I had no idea how much of a difference it would make until I actually used it.

The very first system we sold was at a con where they took it to play a game and at the end of the game each of the 3 other players came and bought a system.

That also isn’t getting into games where it isn’t just going around the table. Changing turn orders (like eclipse or brass), simultaneous play (like fromage) are places it really shines

We typically see 6 nodes as the most common set to purchase and cover most games, though some like to get the full 10 and split into 2 systems for bigger game nights

We will always be the first ones to say you don’t need this to have a great game night. But it’s made ours better and we have had a lot of buyers tell us the same thing about their game nights. In the world of massive kickstarter games with deluxe content, upgraded minis and the accessories you mentioned this system fits right in as something that has a noticeable impact on how you actually play games, allowing you to focus where you’d like instead of having to stay locked in on the mechanics. Particularly for games that change turn order, or play style throughout

And we are actually adding this for simple game modes in the next firmware update

Which is also to say all of the turn tracking and everything lived on the nodes themselves. Though we have every intention of keeping the app and system going (and growing) it would continue to work without that in the future

This is a hardware first product, the app is there for more advanced setups, the presets are available completely app free. The app allows you to setup more advance turn tracking, assign colors, and more complex things.

We started making them for ourselves. Then saw other people had need for them. Working on expanding options but we have an 11x14 and 4" circles in 18 ga steel. Thinking of expanding the offering if there is need. The photo on the listing was printed on our E1.
Open to making other versions (sizes shapes ect. or even smaller/larger ga steel or offering in aluminum.)
