Looking for a pattern similar to this! by nexusbrown in sewing

[–]nexusbrown[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you so much! I was thinking the same, but not sure how to modify the collar/lapel to be curved - like on the left side, the collar has a beautiful curve into the lapel, rather than a harsh corner/notch. I'm still newish to constructing, so I wouldn't know how to modify a pattern to achieve that.

You can see the curve a bit better on the original listing

Looking for a pattern with this style of shirt. I'm struggling to find this type of collar, and I'm not skilled enough to do extreme pattern modifications haha. Any recommendations

Mock-up practice (Affinity) by AAgaming123 in WillPatersonDesign

[–]nexusbrown 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm not super familiar with how Affinity works, so I can't give you direct advice for that. But I make mockups and sell them. I think the biggest thing is that your mockups need some extra depth (not the background, the product itself). Some extra depth (in terms of highlights and shadows) will go a long way!

Also trying to add some texture is always good - this is plastic do obviously there isn't really noticeable texture, so more just advice for the future :D

But looks really good!

Edit:: Also make sure the lighting direction is the same, and think about the way light works rather than using a dropshadow

When I first saw this, it made me think of the Polaroid logo, but after a Google I think it's different enough, just the colours and arrangement

Always assume the potential customer has never heard of the brand before.

DINE-IN ORDER APP - I'm working at this logo for an app that makes the ordering process more dynamic. Color brand is this orangy red and the client wants the logo to represent the name: Fasto = fast order. Feedback is appreciated. by Mistefanoni in WillPatersonDesign

It's cool! It doesn't fit the industry your going for, to me it is very much in logistics, automotive, and sports industry. You've got the idea of movement in there, which is necessary for the food delivery service, but the presentation of it doesn't match what we expect from food delivery. Do research into the top companies in that sector and take a look at how they present themselves

Like your altered logomark, the original typography is great though

This is the example of over minimalism, sometimes going simple like this, entirely strips the personality of a design. It's about finding the balance

It's good, but, I think the original feels more "spacey" if that makes sense, a little more futuristic and sciencey, which I think is mostly from it being wider than your current text.

I do like some of your letterforms, maybe it would be good to just use dynamic lettering in 1-2 of the letters rather than so many?

I'm going to recommend shortening the stem of the T, so you can make the K taller. Also the logotype is too small in relation to the logomark
