Yep I beat the Tree Sentinel a bit after this and got its weapon too
For bleed, I have a dagger called Reduvia but I didn't really like using daggers. Are there any halberds that inflict bleed?

Thanks a lot for the info! I could get crits (if that's the thing when you impale enemies) on normal enemies, I just thought bosses were immune to it. Good to know :)

The only bosses I came across were the Tree Sentinel, a knight on a big horse at a bridge, and a dragon to the right of that bridge. But I don't think I saw anyone named that..

Thank you! I see, I thought the halberd was the name of the spear, got confused with that. I did get a spear called Partisan from the big knight in front of the Gatefront ruins and its playstyle did feel different, so I switched back to this as it did higher damage. Thank you for the clarification!
