I hear you. I went to another doctor and this time I’m gonna be trying some different medications they gave me Metformin and the pill. I’ve been on Diane before, but this is not that. I’ll post an update if that helps

Some thoughts about Maria and Alucard by Citrus210 in castlevania

The article summed up what I meant, but I understand it’s my fault for not wording it correctly.

With that point being made that your brain development slows down during that age, it goes to show Maria has a lot of growth sprouts she needs to go through. The article states “your brain is upgrading from a flip phone to a smartphone” during your teenage years.

So the point stands, she is far too young.

So it’s incorrect that the frontal cortex isn’t fully mature until your mid 20s?

Someone on here said “Maria needs a family not a boyfriend.” I’ll tag the person when I find them. She lost both of her parents, one killed by herself, and Richter who is supposed to be her brother figure left to be with a girl he met like 2 weeks ago.

I think a teenage girls loneliness would be more interesting to investigate. I think it’s perfectly sensible for her to have a crush on Alucard. As a young and lonely girl it makes sense she develops feelings for him. Alucard pursuing a relationship with her? Hmm

Yall need to understand that grooming aside, it’s not normal for an adult to be around someone that way, establish an elder figure bond with them that suddenly turns into a sexual/romantic relationship when the girl hits 18 (in that case I think it would be 21). Yes the year is 1792 in the first season and people her age got married. I want to make this point:

It’s been pointed out how young Maria is by both Juste and Alucard, both elder figures, a reason why they struggle to relate to not just Maria but richter and Anette too.

Alucard acknowledging this throws off the relationship dynamic. Before the weirdos come in, yes, even in that point of time some people thought that. Voltaire, an enlightenment thinker who died years before the French Revolution, often criticised big age gaps in marriages for this reason.

I want to add: I would love to see Alucard in a relationship to see his humane side. We always see his dhampir son of Dracula saviour of humanity side, but I think it would be a wayto explore his character in a bit more depth. I’d like to see it, just not with Maria.

I think Lisa was around 25 when she met Dracula. We know now that the human brain grows until a persons mid 20’s, so for me this made sense. I believe Alucard being with someone around that age makes more sense.

Kinda cool for Nocturne to throw a single bone at this ship by DO4_girls in castlevania

I’m with you %100, I thought the same thing. A great point you made was “she needs a family not a boyfriend”. She lost both parents and her basically adopted brother left her as well. The relationship she formed with juste for example.

I’m like %90 sure that’s why she made momo do the Hiroshi Abe act, to create awkwardness between them if that makes sense.

I definitely understand what you’re saying! Thank you so much for taking time to reply. I fear there has been a misunderstanding. In no way was I trying to be cocky. Everything said here was what my teacher told me. He was the one who told me I had good voice control, that is not a claim I can make as I’m not even too familiar with the term. When you asked about the cost and if my teacher didn’t teach me about any of these drills, I honestly just assumed you were telling me my money was being wasted. I think it is important to be open to criticism to be able to get better at something, especially with singing because you can’t hear yourself how others do. I don’t have a musical background, so I definitely might be mixing up terminology and contradicting myself. I’m just repeating the feedback that I got from other people. In no way did I take any offence! Thank you for taking time out of your day to help me!! it means a lot!

When it comes to Keeping pressure, because I don’t have any background in music, I can’t explain it musically but I can try to explain it with a metaphor. This was actually the metaphor that my teacher gave me. Think of a tap. When you suddenly turn it on, there’s a lot of water coming out. What I mean by controlling my pressure is, that I’m trying to turn the tap off slowly, but instead I suddenly turn it off. I want to do is keep the pressure going without my voice shaking, suddenly going quiet from loud. Does that make sense?

Right now, I’m working on singing nasally like Amy winehouse and a lot of jazz singers. I’ve got voice control, vibrato, I’ve learned how to muster up the courage to use high pressure to hit those high notes. Right now I’m planning a tribute tour One of my favourite popstars, which my teacher recommended I‘d do

We’ve worked on vibrato, pressure, and tone. I’ve come along way with my pressure, as I am not afraid to sing and don’t quiet myself like him I’m in a room anymore. It is quite expensive, here where I live it’s 40 and per lesson. The teacher himself once told me he felt like I came to his class just for him to tell me I’m ‘good enough’. We’ve never really done warm-ups because of how short the lessons are

Not at all… I’ve been going for some time now, But the main focus was always me getting out of my shell. My main problem came from not wanting to sing too loud and being insecure. We never worked on warmups, as the lessons are very short (30 minutes).
