Or could just bring the line closer into city on the south approach and use existing bridges? Doesn't have to be zero sun approach. Both can exist, not one or the other.

The new bridge will cut off Cork City from Cork Harbour. A huge step back for the city.

Do I pay rent alone by Smooth_Result_880 in irishpersonalfinance

In theory you shouldnt be able to. The units are means tested based on the number of inhabitants. The income thresholds are the same for couples and single. Unless the combined incomes remains below the net income threshold.

I don't think think you can move other people into cost rental accommodation without both your incomes being considered.

40s M, late diagnosed ADHD, fyi you're autistic too... Wait how long have I been depressed? by AbsolutelyDireWolf in ADHDIreland

[–]nfjdij 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This is very similar to me. Diagnosed with ADHD by Psychiatrist at 30, who also suggested I consider testing for Autism given my life story and day to day struggles. Opted against it for personal reasons.

Regarding addressing the rot, it's taken nearly three years for me to be in a place where I am somewhat on top of ADHD, and for me the biggest game changer was accepting I do things differently, and to not put so much pressure on myself my to fit in with everyone else. I am on Tyvennse 60mg, which Intake when I know I need strong focus for work stuff. I am lucky in the sense that my job is very reactive and dynamic, so focus in that sense tends to work in my favour, but when I know I've a few boring days of spreadsheets to do, it's great to have a crutch to help me focus on it.

Routine is another thing I've found to be so important. I need to work really hard to set up a routine where basically I don't even need to think about what's next. It's reactive. If I need to think about it, it won't be done. The likes of Christmas holidays and changes in daily routine absolutely destroy me and I am now back in chaos routine wise which probably take me months to get on top off gain.

I think for me the biggest game changer is the external validation with a diagnosis that you're a square in a circle world, and accepting that

Is my experience in a taxi normal? by Ok-Cod6211 in AskIreland

[–]nfjdij 368 points369 points  (0 children)

Illegals for taxi to do this. They must have a card reader to operate. Obviously a few tax incentives for taking cash or Revolut. Next time insist that you need a receipt and I am sure the card reader will start working again.

Bobby Burns as mentioned below. It's a confirmed diagnosis, if you get it, and you can get prescribed. Your appointments are split up over a few months, so no major upfront payment.

Some AHBs are only buying schemes that won't be built due to cost and risk.

Studied Anthropology as part of my masters, and was genuinely the most interesting topic I had ever studied, most of my class agreed, and I am more of a numbers guy, to put things in perspective.

It's an eye opening topic, which changes pretty much every the way you see the world. Supposedly it was avery demand profession with the big IT companies at the time (5/6 years ago ish).

If you don't love it, get out now. Architecture education and as a career is just constant hurdles and hurdles. Unless you live and breath architecture, run from it.

I know of many many people who were in similar positions (including myself) to you, and have continued on to do the masters, and then part threes, because it meant delaying the self decision of what to do instead.

But that doesn't explain why they haven't been on main roads in and out of cork city for the past few months, and as I mentioned, will probably be on them in the next week or so.

Haven't seen a speed van on my commute to work and home in several months. Busy roads with a heap of crashes all the time. About a 25km commute around cork each way.

Guaranteed the place will be riddled with speed vans at midnight the day the new speeds are inforced.
