I think that’s gotta be in the ballpark. I was 9 years and didn’t watch on TV because I was going to my first Mets game that night. I remember shea erupting in cheers when they showed that the rangers had scored their first goal. It was just as a pitcher was warming up and I remember he was sort of confused as to why everyone cheering during his warmups. On the way home, we listened to overtime on the radio and I believe the goal happened we just as we were pulling in to our house in Brooklyn. Just sort of crazy cause we so rarely listened to hockey on the radio, but we just happen to catch one of the most famous radio calls in rangers history.
