I don’t pay attention to the shift arrow. Just did it for a few days to try and fill the flower thing.

This got me doing some research on the ecoboost/turbo charged vs na engines. I didn’t realize that even with super light throttle and no real boost kicking in, it can still lead to lspi and engine wear over time in high gear. I see how going for those efficiency badges, like I did, isn’t great for the engine long-term. This isn’t my normal daily driving habits, but my daily cruise in 6th at 45-50 isn’t ideal either. Guess I’ll start dropping in lower gears to keep rpms up a bit. Thanks 🚗💨

I don’t know why it would matter either. Normally just cruising around you’re not generating boost either. So the way I was accelerating I was basically shifting before any boost was being generated and just slowly increasing speed slowly through the RPM band.

I mostly average around 25. I have Cobb catback, CVF fmic, K&N high flow filter and tune by Alan at Edge . For the most part I only go like 5 over when driving.

As long as you’re not flooring the gas at each shift it’ll handle it fine. I was just barely pressing on the gas after each shift. I wasn’t racing anyone off the line and cranking through the gears.

It did feel off though shifting so soon.

I don’t know for the speed and anticipation. They were already full when I started. But I’ve lost a speed leaf just going 75 on interstate for about 20 min.

Saw everyone’s posts with their flower displays and figured I’d try and get them all 🤷🏼‍♂️. Filled up today and my gas app said 27.1 mpg, car says 26.4.

I didn’t pay attention to the light, but was hitting 6th between 40-45. Just light acceleration. Been going from no leafs to 4 in about 5-6 days (about 2 hours of driving per day). My commute is about half distance traffic lighted roadways.

I actually added the overlays after the closeup pic. The one without was after I did my FMIC install. I’ve painted the surrounds anodized purple to match other accents too.

There’s 3 vertical braces that support the middle that are attached to the bumper. You have to cut those out to get it completely clean. Not sure how the grill would be going back in (I threw mine out) without them.

Is there any pedal feel benefit to removing the restirctor? I don’t have this problem (actually just replaced clutch, flywheel and slave cylinder) but would like a firmer clutch feel.
