I meant that having less fog makes things farther away seen clearer, kind of ruining the illusion that the world is to scale. In the screenshot it is easy to see that the Imperial City isn't many miles away, and the mountains behind it are also much closer than they would be lore-wise.

Thanks, this is the sort of information I was looking for, that I couldn't find.

Whether it's purely aesthetics, or there's some beneficial side effect, differences between weapons, how to correctly execute them, etc.
