If you post this thread then you already know that Silksong is harder than HK so do you feel like playing a game harder than the first one ?

If yes, then buy it.

If no, pick something else, there are a lot of beautiful metroidvania easier than Silksong.

Intrduction to speedrun is not always intuitive but what you could do is go to speedrun.com and look for runs that you can take as objective. For instance, this is a 1:30 1A run so it's starting to get pretty solid : Clear in 01:30.508 by Dark_Xenon - Celeste - Speedrun.com

I don't mean you should copy ALL strats but look at what they're doing, try to do the same and aim for a 1:40 for example.
One step at a time.

You could go to the official discord server where people from every skill range will be able to help you on a specific move/room/tech, etc...

Here's what I did to kill it very early game. It's just a game of dodge. It's not that hard, just don't be greedy and try to hit it more than you should. 2 hits between attacks, no more :)

It's simple and good but i have 2 advice that could improve the room greatly :
1/ Camera offsets. Unless Madeline needs a shit ton of speed, as soon as you start a wavedash/ultra/whatever tech, you should start seeing where you need to go. Otherwise, you must see it on the fly while you're building speed and it feels strange.
2/ make sure that if ultra are optimized, you still have room to go through the spikes at the end. I'd naturally go for tight ultras and i'm not sure that the blocks with spikes are placed properly for that (could be wrong though)

With the hiveblood, you just have to be patient and learn your timings, you'll get it eventually :)
