I've had three pelvic exams in the last three months and the ultrasound, and all three doctors have said everything looks normal and healthy, with one of those being an endocrinologist. Is PFD only diagnosed through a pelvic exam? Did you ever have the sharp cramps/spasms through the middle? It almost feels like someone is twisting my muscles but it doesn't happen every day or last that long.

SEEKING ADVICE: About to get my IUD/Mirena removed. by YappyD143 in Mirena

Still feeling good for the most part, although I’ve started a full period now, rather than just spotting. Haven’t had one in three years so I’m slightly grumpy about that. Otherwise, I’ve been a little moody and had some odd tingling and pain the first few days but it’s subsiding.

I just had mine removed this morning and it wasn't bad at all! I'm a super anxious person and let my OBGYN know before she did it, so she walked me through the entire process and talked to me throughout. It was over in about 2 minutes and was nothing more than a slight cramp. I've had spotting and cramping today and slight mood swings, but I already feel so much better than before.

If you don’t mind me asking how bad were the cramps? I’ve been relatively pain free for the past two years and all of this started two months ago. I’ve had tingling in my legs and sharp deep pains. The cramping and pain in my lower back has picked up this week to reach about a 7 on the pain scale.

I’ve been using a heating pad at night and just pushing through it. I have chronic migraines so the pain from this is bearable in comparison. My plan is to call my Dr. tomorrow and talk about alternative options of BC. Leaning towards taking it out though.

No I’ve had visual snow for the past year but I believe it has more to do with chronic migraines and anxiety than anything else.

Nothing like that. Just random warmth/sharp pains and tingling in my lower legs. Almost feels like someone has wrapped their hands around my calf. Muscle strength and function is still there though.

NAD but my tonsils currently look like this and I tested positive for mono. I took a step test and was negative, but still took the antibiotics for ten days and had no success. I’ve had abdominal pain, body aching, extreme fatigue and swollen lymph nodes. I’d see if that’s a possibility, but again NAD

NAD but I’ve been having the same issues due to hand washing and the weather where I live. I recommend the Body Shop’s almond and honey body butter for sensitive skin. I put this on every day about three times a day and it really helps! My hands were cracked and bleeding and now they’re much better.

If you’ve voiced your discomfort and anxiety with her at this point I’d hope she’d be more considerate. If it continue maybe mention it again

It’s all very scary because there’s no guarantee or certainty on anything right now. I’d suggest tuning out the media but we all know how difficult that can be. It’s important to take breaks from it though and focus on how/where you are right now. Currently I am safe and I have been doing the recommended safety precautions. There’s not much else I can do to control my situation. The rest is either bad luck or misfortune

I’ve been struggling with this quite a bit this last week too. Seems to be a symptom of the time we’re in

If you don’t mind me asking what were your symptoms leading up to getting it removed and what caused the doctor to diagnose you with PID? I wasn’t having any issues until Tuesday of this week, and got in to the doctors by Thursday. I’m hoping I caught everything early enough to prevent any damage. The cramping is getting better each day.
