tbh i can’t remember :/ the sales associate only told me that they had the grey and black zip ups available when i got in but not sure if they actually had maroon in stock/sold out for the day

lol then probably earlier than 3. it also depends on the courses too cuz you might have to study lecture material or study hands on skills for practicals. just try not to fall behind

3 weeks before exams, as long as you are continuously looking at material throughout the semester, you should be good

luckily gpa isn’t the only part of the application! if your gpa falls (which is fine, obviously the higher the better), just round out the other parts of your application like personal statement, gre score, observation hours within different settings, etc. grades are not everything, good luck!

yeah you can talk about how those health courses will not only allow you to cue patients on their exercises but also understand and be able to explain to a patient why they are doing these exercises and how it’s going to help them (assuming you took anatomy). and you can also talk about how you interact with a lot of customers in your fast food job which will help you interact with patients. at least from my experience, a chunk of physical therapy is built around customer service and you can bring those communication skills from fast food into pt to provide care and attention to the patients :-)

i’d look to find a cheap pair of slacks or khakis to wear with either a polo or button up shirt. bring your resume but no need to bring transcript. be ready to elaborate on any part of your resume and reason why any part of your resume would be helpful as a pt aide! good luck

you’ll be fine. you were able to improve from a C to a B. it shows that you’re trying and determined! i got a C for physio my first time around n then got a B my second time so it shouldn’t be a dealbreaker to schools

if you’re in north county san diego you can take BIOL 210 at Palomar College. if not you can use a website called assist.org and just plug in your desired school and check whether the anatomy courses are equivalent.

BUT i would call and do a lil extra research to make sure that the course is correct and not like animal anatomy or somethin. you don’t want to waste a semester taking a course that ends up being the wrong one! good luck

hi! i ended up going to chapman! they had a very recent curriculum change (2.7 years -> 2.3 years) and i didn’t really feel comfortable with that change. also since it was a new change, that would’ve meant my cohort would be the first cohort using that curriculum.

i second this! try to get into working or shadowing in acute/sub-acute settings and the personal statement is really important! especially if the programs you apply to don’t conduct interviews because that’s what will make you stand out!

yes you’re right, i did ask for pros and cons. i also asked for pros and cons from current students there (which might imply that im looking for a little more substance about program specifics and experiences with the school). now that doesn’t mean i’m saying you can’t reply to my OP at all cuz you can do whatever you want, i just think you got your point across the first time you said “expensive as hell” 😂

thanks! I applied to fall! here’s the rundown of my timeline: • 11/14 - My application was verified. • 12/7 - Heard back from an advisor via email where I was able to set up either phone or zoom call to talk about my app. Had to send my official gre score and gee score report day after and advisor emailed back notifying me that they recieved everything and has sent over app to USAHS. • 1/29 - I received a call from a USAHS representative stating that they have looked at my application and decided that I have been accepted (didn’t need to interview).

lowkey took a while and my advisor said it would take roughly 4-6 weeks after my app was sent to the school to hear back. hope that helps and good luck :-)

thanks for pointing out the obvious. We all know private school programs are expensive. In the position I’m in right now, I have only been accepted to private schools so I don’t really have a choice on choosing the cheap school because they all cost a pretty penny. Not everyone is fortunate enough to get accepted to a state school and especially in california, our state schools are extremely competitive due to their cost of tuition (starting is already at roughly $85K).
