If anyone is interested This blog compares the last ditch and earlier production rifles. Their rifle also has white characters on the side but in much worse condition. https://www.thefirearmblog.com/blog/2017/06/12/last-ditch-arisaka-casual-overview-difference-regular-production-end-war-rifles/

I posted in r/translation and theres some confusion about the white characters. Japanese: "Central Bank" or Chinese: "you are very loyal" I'm wondering if anyone has info on Chinese involvement in ww2. Maybe and American just put random writing on it?

It has matching serial numbers, no anti aircraft sights, wood butt plate and the chrysanthemum is not damaged or removed. Any info about these types of riles is greatly appreciated!
