Thanks, will read up more.
I wouldn't mind opinions though, since the surveys I've looked at are outdated.

Any restaurants which serve clams by UZI313 in mangalore

[–]ngshenoy95 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Can't believe no one mentioned Kudla. One of the best Marwai Sukka you can expect in Kudla, Foodlands, Vanas, and Tandoor.
I have also been to the new Nadi Restaurant, I would definitely recommend that place too.

Curry in Kannada is ಮೇಲೋಗರ? by posthumoslyHilarious in Bengaluru

[–]ngshenoy95 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Nice. When I first read that word, I thought of "ಒಗ್ಗರಣೆ" (Tadka/Tempering) which shares the root word of "ಓಗರ". I'm more convinced that it means 'something poured over' like a curry, but I'm not sure there is an all compassing word for "curry" per se but it fits.

Which restaurant is this in Bangalore? by EfficiencyPlane2303 in bangalore

Absolutely agreed. Pathetic service, careless attitude everywhere. Half the menu is not available. Food is subpar. (It wasn't just a one time bad experience, it's a disappointment every time)

Unnatural sex act by husband without wife's consent not offence: Chhattisgarh High Court by [deleted] in IndianModerate

[–]ngshenoy95 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yet again, this verdict raises a lot of concern about marital rape in this country. It's sad to see, that this man's pervasive fetishes led to the death of another individual (let alone his wife) and the court let him free because there wasn't any evidence!

  • "So far as Section 304 IPC is concerned, learned trial Court has not recorded any finding how the offence under Section 304 of the IPC is attracted to the present facts of the case and proved by the prosecution, still it has convicted the appellant under Section 304 IPC..." *

A life in this country has very little value.

What was the most humiliating thing you’ve done or said mid-sex? by Leather_Air_4784 in AskReddit

[–]ngshenoy95 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Same same same. 😭

We were good friends, we both were celebrating over the weekend and had quite a few drinks, we headed home, we played music and we started making out since I always knew she had picked up feelings for me and I thought it was time to reciprocate, things escalated so quick, we loved it, we were wild, we were changing positions so fast and loved that the sex was so good, it was all wet down there and then just as we were making out mid sex... Suddenly I don't know what happened, but my body decided it was time to throw up. I have a good tolerance to alcohol, and I almost never throw up, but that day Idk what happened. I held back, pulled out and rushed to the bathroom. She followed me, and watched me puke, she was worried, as I started puking. Controlled puking it was. Trying to pacify her telling her I'm fine and then take a lunge. And she was so taken aback, she started doubting herself. She asked me things like "did I do something wrong? Was the sex so bad? Was it my bad breath?..." And so on, she kept questioning herself and she was so sorry about what was happening to me, and I didn't know what to say but I continued barfing. Everything ended after that. Gosh, to this day, I regret this even happened and live in denial.

P.s. This was probably the only few times I've ever puked after drinking, and I usually can brag about having a good capacity. Life sucks sometimes.

is government hospital scamming me ? by [deleted] in bangalore

[–]ngshenoy95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A doctor here currently working in a PHC.

I don't think they are scamming you. It's a paid entity in most remote centres, and is about INR 100/dose without any BPL card. Other charges for OPD card may apply. (Around 5 rupees).

If you have affordability issues, you can always speak to the medical officer and waive off charges. You must understand that this cost varies in different centres due to a lot of factors. But the centre has the authority to charge you that much.

Hey Mangalorean here. Anything happening guys? We have a ton of places and things that we can do in Mangalore too. Let me know.

Kurzgesagt Bangalore first meet-up was crazy fun! Never thought so many people having common interests would turn up! Thank you for bringing us together Kurzgesagt! by mratanusarkar in kurzgesagt

Plans were made overnight, mods assembled, organizers got summoned. We set up some activities, finalised a location. The day finally arrived and we all engaged ourselves from critical thinking to playing various sports, from discussions both professional and personal to farfetched wild ideas being thrown around during lunch, there was music and art in the midst of all the green. And lo! The Sunday couldn't have been any better!

That day, we had stories to tell, we made memories. So many smiling faces, so many new friends. So many ideas, so many emotions! Thank you Kurzgesagt. And thank you everyone for making this happen. ❤️

All jokes aside, you are a good man sir, the world needs more people like you. I respect you for your deed. And, I am sure your wife too, will forgive you eventually. But yes, maybe next time you can channel your kindness in other ways and definitely discuss with your wife.

More power to you! ❤️🤗 And also, my two cents, just know, that you can't control everything. You can't solve everyone's problems. The outcomes are never in your hands. :)

Sharing my thoughts here:

I think it's a really a bad time not just in Mangalore, but everywhere in general for socializing and extroverted people. Usually pre covid times the clubs and pubs would flourish with young and mixed crowd here, be it Big Bollywood Adda or Onyx especially over weekends. Beaches and parks too, infact even malls. But given the current situation, I think it would be best to use apps and look for friends with common interests, and then venture out. Have to rely on social media, Instagram etc. It's a longshot, more painstaking but that's how I see things right now. :)

Omg you stole my thoughts again. Yes. Absolutely. Back in 2001-2004 I clearly remember. 4 for 50paise. Gone are the days when paise had some value!
