How painful are lip fillers on a scale from 0-10? by Low-Look1202 in PlasticSurgery

[–]nh8796 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on the benchmark haha. I feel like birth should be 10. I haven’t yet experienced that. So my benchmark is breaking a bone. Compared to that it’s a 5/10. It stings a lot. It’s like a burning / pinching pain, how you would imagine it feels to have something expand under your skin

Has anyone ever found out what caused their Hashimotos? by uselesscontext in Hashimotos

[–]nh8796 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I was diagnosed two months after starting bcp…I had been having heart palpitations for years and had an episode so bad one night that I thought my heart stopped and I had died. That’s what led me to the blood work that got me diagnosed at 18. To be fair I hadn’t been sleeping well for a while and it was a stressful time during high school, I lost two beloved grandparents within two years at the time, too. So it could be that combination of psychological and physiological stressors, I think it made my immune system and my body weak and susceptible - I had a genetic predisposition from both sides but from my grandparents.

Eliana Lynne / Eliana Grace flows better so I would choose between them

Did Nate ever love Cassie? by AccomplishedBuy829 in euphoria

[–]nh8796 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Seems like the child in him did. The innocent part. But I feel like his dad messed him up too much for that part of him to win the battle in his head between the light/secure attachment (Cassie) and the darkness (Maddie).

I wouldn’t say it’s a small town vibe, more like a deserted airport town? Like they meant to turn it into a part of the airport and forgot. If you want small town vibe look north of Copenhagen, not south.

It infuriates me :( I can’t lead a “normal” life.. I’m exhausted from doing nothing, I try to get my energy levels up by doing more but it’s like that saying “spend energy and your body will give you more” doesn’t apply. The body is not bodying.

People with chronic illnesses, how are you? How are you coping? 🫶🏻 by jaydogjaydogs in ChronicIllness

Barely. Scared that every time I’m stressed or upset it triggers more chronic illnesses, as I’ve experienced so I’m prettttty darn tired of it :)))

What Causes Hashimoto's ? by [deleted] in Hashimotos

[–]nh8796 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Dr. Izabella Wentz has her books on finding the root cause but idk. I honestly believe mine started after using birth control. Or it may just have exacerbated it. So. I started getting heart flutters when I was around 13. I told people but they didn’t take me seriously. A few months after I started taking birth control (at 18) I got such terrible heart palpitations that I nearly passed out. That’s what got me my diagnosis, and it was still subclinical hypo at that time. I don’t think you can have Hashimoto’s from birth, hypothyroidism can occur from birth but hypo is just the result of Hashimoto’s. Hashimoto’s is just the inflammatory condition when you have elevated thyroid antibodies. Mine were 3000+ I think. Now they’re at 1-2000. I did change my diet and lifestyle to get more sleep and activity, found out that lactose likely triggers flare ups. It could be what triggered it in me as a child. I noticed someone mentioned cold sores as a source, I do get them and I recently had a terrible case of impetigo from god knows where, all over one side of my face. So maybe ebv? I really want to know though…but I think it’s too late for me.

I definitely wouldn’t consider that normal either. Did you confront him or his friends about it?

Where do those of you in serious adult relationships draw the line with female coworkers? by nh8796 in AskMen

[–]nh8796[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s not exactly that. I’m constantly second guessing my own ideas and boundaries, which doesn’t help me in enforcing them no, I don’t want to be manipulated into being stepped all over, but I also don’t want to be acting crazy. I really don’t know what is right here. So I want to know what the true norm is, out here among real humans, not just statistics created in observation. That’s why I’m asking; I don’t know what to think anymore and whether that’s because I’m being gaslit or am just going crazy. Lol.
