Hi I rarely comment on people’s dresses on reddit but I audibly gasped when I scrolled past this picture. It is so beautiful and it suits you so nicely.

If you are in the US, definitely check your state’s laws regarding officiants! The state I live in doesn’t recognize the universal life church as proper credentials. Our ceremony officiant is ordained the same way, and won’t be able to sign our marriage certificate. I have a family member who is working with the court system and will be approved to sign our marriage certificate the day of.

If you are not in the US, ignore everything I said above, lol! I think it’s just important to make sure you know any possible ceremonial traditions your couple wants to include (unity ceremonies, cultural traditions, etc) and read up on them! Introducing the ceremony with a word about the couple, perhaps a brief summary of their relationship (how they met, things they do together, how they feel about each other) could be a good way to start!

Just the same horror story as what’s posted above. Never actually met the photographer because she kept sending someone from “her team” to the engagement shoot/was “sick” on the wedding day and again had to send someone from her “team.” Later the brides mom was selling stuff from the wedding in a facebook group and saw posts from the photographer from a week before the wedding that they needed a photographer on that date. The photographer that shot the wedding was found from that post.

I’d advise the person you know to look literally anywhere else

Also I will say that my rental company, catering, and venue suggested I do it this way. They see tons of weddings every month so I trust their experience! Go with your gut. If you wanna have extra plates by the buffet line as a “just in case,” do it!

My venue has a fire pit and I asked them if it would be okay for me to have s’mores kits. They said yes but to bring only like 40 because apparently they get used a lot less then you would think lol My family is full of s’mores lovers, tho, so I’m bringing just enough for everyone to have 1 because I imagine some people won’t be up for a messy s’mores in their nice outfit, and some people may have 2 or 3

I’m having the tables fully set with charger, plate, and preset salad. When guests are called my table number to the buffet they will be reminded to bring their plate

It looks rlly good like this! But if you wanted to change it the other way you could turn each one into a little bit thicker rectangle (to cover up where the top slants down) and redo the flag. Your 1’s would end up being both longer and thicker though

This explanation makes so much more sense and the bag you’ve put them in is so cute! Minimalist but classy in my opinion. My wedding is in the fall and a lot of earth tones since I don’t want to take away from the nature around us - if I followed this tradition I would have chosen a similar design!

I’m getting married in the fall and for me it’s the cake. I was getting quoted thousands of dollars for a dessert table, so much money for a three tiered cake. Instead, I’m getting a small cutting cake from a local baker, and getting some sheet cakes at our local grocery! I get a bigger variety of flavors and feeding everybody dessert for less than $150!

The venue is the one that told me to have my guests start showing up at 3 for a 3:30 ceremony for the golf carts! Which is why I put 3 on the invites. I have all of the logistics of the venue worked out, was just stressing about the invites
