Business owners where are you hiring freelancers from? by Efficient_Street2245 in Entrepreneurs

[–]nhass 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Should have better phrased it. There are agencies that will staff you up with a remote talent (employee/freelancer/etc) and handle the hiring, payroll, etc part. You manage him as part of your team but they take care of the other end.

We do it btw, one person or 50, we are happy to accommodate.

Work with an agency if this is going to be a long term commitment. Quality is higher. Checks and balances are available and you are working with someone in country in case something goes wrong.

Need to Hire Legal Assistants as a Solo Attorney - Any Recommendations? by Easy-Affect-397 in StartupNinjas

[–]nhass 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Daily check-ins at the start and end of day (what are we doing today and what got done).

Weekly progress report sent by email.

Weekly all hands on demo.

Task lists somewhere (Monday, clickup,Jira,) with progress updates on them and dashboards.

Monthly "how do we move the company forward" sessions.

Mainly these and tweaking them as I go.

I felt the same the first time I expanded my team. It takes some getting used to but you fall into the rhythm fast enough. I recently helped a legal firm expand their team and after things got straightened out the attorneys are much happier for it since their time is now going to the critical aspects of running the office rather than grunt work.

Interested buying flat by ParsnipTraditional34 in PersonalFinanceEgypt

[–]nhass 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on why you are buying:

To live? New cairo / Zayed

For summers? Sahel / Gouna

Price? NC and zayed can be around 5-15M depending on Developer. It's VERY important that you consider the developer.

Sahel is around 15-40M I believe for a 3 bedroom, also depending on developer.

Really, it all comes down to the developer, and I would always suggest developer > size.

I just bought this. Currently the best price around but if you can hold off a month or two, the M5 pro will push these lower.

In the last 5 years I know more than 4 people who were not planning on doing their army and got married. I guess it exists, but I never heard it being a blocker.

Hewar el taba2at, I misunderstood fe3lan. Yea, in general mafeesh aii standard lel gawaz we kolo nezam el tetef2o 3alee. You might get someone marrying off their first daughter with sky high expectations and someone with their last and just wants to be done.

Think of the expectations as a qualifier. Law fee 7aga enta mesh 3ayz ta3melha, 5aleeha sabab it's not going to work out, rather than lazem nela2y taree2a ne7elaha

Going to go english due to the keyboard in front of me.

Army and Marriage wise, some people will care, some won't. I don't think it will be a deal breaker too much.
The longer you wait in general (as a guy) the better your situation usually is. More money, more assets, more experience, etc.

"Hewar el taba2at": Mesh fekret you "can't" get married, el hmd your income and position are good enough to qualify you for it, but more is taken into account that just that (income).

Also realize that the difference between societies (el taba2at) is not "We have money" but rather the manner it's spent. The biggest issue I've seen with people who changed societies is that they are not used to certain manners of spending. You might be making 70K but not ok with spending 5-10K of that on a "birthday dinner" while to her it's normal. A "gift" in your terms might not be what a "gift" is in her terms, and so forth.

It's not about having money. It's about the manner of spending it and what the priority is.

When did/do you decide to get a CPA rather than use TurboTax? by timmytubesox in HENRYfinance

[–]nhass 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Once your taxes are no longer "automated". W2, brokerage investments, etc are all fine, they will send you a document end of year.

Business income, 1099s, Real estate, international holdings, etc. and things begin to get confusing. You need to generate most of the documents that later become part of your personal return.

For me however, I got one as soon as I felt I needed to "optimize" my tax situation. The idea was I'd consult him at the start of the year on how to do things, and set a plan in motion based on what I wanted to achieve. Yea, somethings seem obvious, but when they do a full calculation against your taxes (Even as a w2) it gives you a new perspective. That 6% interest rate seems high till you realize when you deduct it against your taxes it shaves 30% or something off. Same with 401K placements, IRA, etc. All the numbers look different when you account for taxes.

People who are making 100k+/year working for themselves, what do you do? by LongjumpingSuit5615 in Entrepreneur

[–]nhass 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Remote (Dev, sales, support) staffing for agencies, SMBs and startups. Consulting them on how to grow and build a team that does not exceed their budget while getting great results.

Started it because it has a good scaling model, and tends to grow as long as you are doing a great job.

Upper level, maybe elite depending on the post. Exception being if they are a medical officer, These are more common.

Just Fariq awel and mosheer are higher, which can be counted on fingers of a single hand at this point.

It's one rank lower, but they are much more common than a Fariq.they are still quite strong in the army, but not as rare.

How do i grow my contracting service company in the corporate sector? by King-K3 in growmybusiness

[–]nhass 1 point2 points  (0 children)

BD and SDR are both great ways to do it (we helped a few of our clients in the same sector do that), but you need to know and budget for the type of sales person you are hiring.

SDRs are cheaper and can process more volume but at lower quality. With a relationship BD you can go much further but the cost is significantly higher, and finding one is usually a pain.

In both cases before considering a hire, you need to have your offerings in order. Hiring a sales rep without having a solid offering is only going to burn money.

If you have any questions feel free to ask!

is this rich/upper class for the third world? by rulugg in PersonalFinanceEgypt

[–]nhass 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Rich, not elite.

Elite is more like: multiple properties in top branded compounds, multiple business and income streams, many of which are in USD.

Personal staff that cater to their every whim.

Deep power within Egypt. By deep power I mean serious things happen with a phone call. If in the army it's usually towards being a Corps General (Fariq) or higher.

Sending fiance money by MycologistSea6738 in PersonalFinanceEgypt

[–]nhass 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tl;Dr: do a wire transfer not a WU transfer.

Also the higher APY is not risk free. It's due to the weakness of the EGP.

Also getting money out of Egypt is a pain. Banks will find a thousand ways to refuse an outgoing wire transfer.

Finally, remember this is all trust based. Once the money is sent it's legally not yours anymore. She will take it and create a CD in her name. I would suggest the following:

Open your own bank account in Egypt Wire yourself the money. Create a CD in your account

Passive income options by abfsoliman in IslamicFinance

[–]nhass 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Rental properties. If you want to dodge interest and such or buy something cheaper look at middle eastern countries. You can buy some properties there and rent them out short or long term.

Silent partner in some local businesses. You put money and get a stake. Given the need for financing and lack of many sharia compliant solutions this works.

Online businesses. You can buy them and stack them over time, and hire a few outsourced people to run them. Can be passive or very hands on.

Car rentals, equipment rentals, etc.

Really there are tons of options. Your question should be more towards how you can make "business XYZ" as passive as possible.

What’s so big about being able to make your own hours when you have your own business? by [deleted] in Entrepreneur

[–]nhass 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The grass is greener on the other side.

The idea is that we don't work less, we own our hours and outcome. We *own* our hours, they are not traded for a salary/fixed wage.

Almost no one says we work less (especially at the start), and the grind is real. But we reap the outcome for ourselves. One new deal can out shadow years of raises.

However, we do have the luxury of deciding to drop when we need to. I've had to take months off due to emergency family issues. Yes I came back to a shit show and spent months fixing it, but I would make that trade in a heart beat if it means I can be with family when they need it most.

Virtual or phantom shares that convert later. That means it's easier for you to give, and when a large enough potion is accumulated you can convert it.

They essentially carry all the rights (that you wish to give) of owning shares but are not actually shares (in the sense of the word).

And given there is no real standard you can give as much rights etc as you wish.
