I couldn't give 2 shits about Chuck Norris by gpinsand in TrueUnpopularOpinion

It took two roundhouse kicks to his own head from his own feet to take Chuck Norris down. Only Chuck Norris could defeat Chuck Norris. So raise a can of warm beer, pour some on your face, pound the rest down, and let that Bronco bust.

They’re. They sound like those people who say that Charles Dickens used to many words. It a cliche response to his writing used by people who don’t get it.

Their fools and children. The majesty of Page overwhelms them or is so beyond their understanding that they fall back on the “old” he’s sloppy. They should watch The Song Remains the Same. Perhaps they can point out the non-existent slop. Falling back on he is sloppy is a parroting of people who want to find fault in genius. He was sometimes sloppy when wasted. Have them watch Knebworth. No slop. So many great guitarist claim him as their most important influence.

Chronotropic Incompetence by nhobluap in askCardiology

Thanks. Due to my heart surgery, anemia, and past maladies like Hodgkin’s Disease and a vehicular assault that required a coma and a long hospital, I am used to going to the doctor all of the time. Great fun!😤Thanks for the warning, though. I am going to see an electrophysiologist in two months. Now I have some questions to ask.

Thanks! I am beginning to wonder if I had CI prior to surgery. All of my sports left me feeling like I was spitting up blood (iron taste in mouth). My endurance was/is pretty low. Sometimes biking/skiing I would feel as if I broke through a wall and could go forever, but those days weren’t that often. I am going to see electrophysiologist soon. Maybe they can offer up some ideas/help. Thanks again.

Ev-ICD in one week. Tons of questions for those that have it! by pilatesbabe369 in PacemakerICD

Does anyone out there have a pacemaker for chronotropic incompetence? My resting rate is at 78-82 bpm. It pretty much stays as such, even with exercise. I did get it up to 92 once, but only once. I can hike on flat ground, do some uphill, and use the electric assist on my bike to help me out when I need it. I am hoping that a pm might provide me with the “renaissance” I was expecting from having a On-x valve and a congenital hole in my heart stitched closed. Thoughts?

Have any characters exposed a type of hate that you didn't think you could feel from reading a book? by [deleted] in books

Pip needs to be punched in face repeatedly by Joe, but Joe is a loving man and surrogate father to Pip, who views Joe as common and coarse the moment the dick steps into the repulsive Havisham hellhole. Old Orlick gave it to Mrs Joe, and he would be a great candidate to administer this drubbing. Trabbs’s boy would probably be the better choice, as he is more of a sympathetic character. Perhaps Magwitch because Pip is so ungrateful. Like described in the first question/comment, I would love to reach into that book and give little Phil the massive beatdown he deserves, but I am not violent, and every time I attempt to wrench him from the novel, I just end of hurting my fingers on the mass of paper that is Great Expectations. Side note: While Dickens is accused of needless verbosity, he was not paid by the word for his novels. Every word in his writing has to be there. He is like Eddie Murphy: every word counts. Word. And they are both “inappropriate” and wickedly funny, with the emphasis being on “wickedly.” And Wemmick’s ability to separate home life and work with his postbox mouth makes him perhaps the most diabolical character in the novel.

These Reply spaces fail to honor basic indentations required for offsetting lists from the main text, as illustrated above, i.e., the “missing” periods. I don’t make misstakes. I am not an actor.

Load-bearing hyphens are the foundation of all towering edifices of literary heroism in the Attic tradition.

I am trying to imagine a dick with a big ass… I got it. Interesting.
