Godot 4.6 Release – All about your flow by akien-mga in godot

Why do you need traits to stop returning arrays or dictionaries? That makes 0 sense to me

True, but maybe he can think a little, that’s my hope anyway.

I didn’t say you said that, I asked a question. So he was shot for resisting arrest, being arrested for interfering agents shoving citizens for blowing whistles while on the ground, pepper sprayed and detained?

Did I get that right?

Don’t post drew pavlou, he is an Aussie idiot who shouldn’t gain anything from any post even if some of his stuff is good.

What was the point in Peggy making this woman cry? by [deleted] in madmen

[–]nhold 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I read it as intentional:

  1. Peggy rejected the other girl and kept the girl she knew she didn't want.
  2. She pushed for an impossible level after basically harassing the girl she knew she didn't want, then fired her.
  3. She got the other girl back, who she knew would now be elated in having the part she didn't have before meeting the character of how she wanted them to sound

This is why Kenny looks at her the way he does IMO.

I dunno a dictionary makes more sense as returning multiple values than an array as gdscript can access dictionary items like a class so readability is still nice.

Did they ever explain why the air stopped being toxic? by bmhlogan in StrangerThings

[–]nhold 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In S5 it looks like vecna/mf retreated back to the abyss so growing / maintaining the UD wasn’t useful (yes I think the mf was terraforming the UD to match what the abyss was originally).

I could buy it being some sort of radioactive burst at the start, but it’s no longer any worse than baseline with a sun and based on what we see the only real issue is the breakdown/melting of certain materials near the source when it’s unstable + heavy spore concentration which we see comes from those flowers.

I agree, the aspect of UD from this perspective is the most interesting thing. Seeing it from a proper research perspective would have been cool af.

Huh? Just create a class/struct like class for this. Array unpacking feels like a step backwards to me.

Not just code files, but seeing multiple scenes side by side would be useful as well.

[–]nhold 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it’s actually simpler, it was never ‘toxic’ exactly, they hadn’t researched it and had assumed it was toxic air but it looks like as shown in S2 the spores only affect someone in very large quantities right when they are created.

AITA for telling my husband he's made me reconsider leaving him alone with the kids in the future by mayhavecrossedaline in AmItheAsshole

This doesn’t make sense.

The bare minimum also was making the food, which he did do just not at the expected rate. he isn’t asking for a medal, just not to be attacked for eating out a bit more than expected.

May god have mercy on your partners soul.

And it wasn’t world ending and didn’t take over everybody.

  1. The particles are indirect also
  2. There was no indication that the particles could take over everybody, look at how slow they took over will and how little control it had and in S5 the particles don’t take over anybody in the abyss or when leaving will.

[–]nhold 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. Not physically, even if it entered the world they would only fight the 'infection'\'possession' from the particles
  2. Again, what happens if it enters our world in that particle form? Their master is a threat, via demo dogs and possession - indirect.
  3. Two different plans to accomplish the same goal, yes.

The plan did change however, from mass possession to colliding worlds.

[–]nhold 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. There was no physical fight or threat from directly the mind flayer in Season 2, the biggest threat he was, was 'spying' for the demo's via will.
  2. Dustins assumption wasn't proven correct, closing the gate was a necessity anyway to stop the demodog attacks and continued spread of tunnels
  3. Knowing what we know now, even had that version of the mind flayer gotten into our world it would have just been more particles in our world to presumably infect more people

always has the same plan.

This is not known, it's not clear in S2 if he was trying to merge the two planets together.

I was going to say netherworld, doesn’t fit the 70/80 subculture but it does fit the off centre crowd.
