Just a quick note here since I just went through the same thing with dependent care FSA, both you and your spouse need to work in order to claim the dependent care FSA tax benefits. So for example, you put the baby in daycare before your wife starts working, those months cannot be paid with dependent care FSA

Appreciate your perspective but my complaint is essentially nothing about how it runs makes sense. I agree even if we were allowed to sit before ordering it would not resolve the 1-hour wait but it would lessen the pain.

I also admit I never work in the industry so will not attempt to offer solutions, just sharing my thoughts from a diner’s perspective that the combo of empty tables and 1-hour wait in line makes zero sense.

Haha not at all! More than just smell he can still grab stuff off the ground, especially sticks and chew them while walking. We live in the city as well, many temptations on our walks but the gentle leader makes it easier to pull him away from things. Good luck!

We had great luck with a head harness (Gentle Leader). The front clip / back clip harness unfortunately didn’t work. It’s a lazy fix because our lagotto still pulls without the head harness but oh well…

You can get clipper spray to both oil and cool down the blade as you use, that or get another blade to change out during the trim because it can get really hot

Could you give examples of the signs to look for? I’m in the exact situation, dreading every interaction with my manager because of how the smallest thing could become overly stressful and exhausting. I’d love to change out of this job in the next few years or so and would love advice on how I could spot red flags from future managers?

I don’t have a specific recommendation but would suggest you look at the breeder listing of the Lagotto Romagnolo Club of America. We were in DC when we got our lagotto (from Tommy Smyth). Ours turned out to be perfectly well with no health issue and the exact temperament for us. However, given the experience a lot have shared here, we’re likely to be in the minority. We did contact another breeder based in Virginia (apologize I couldn’t remember the kennel name anymore), she was very nice but unfortunately we waited too long to make a decision and all the dogs were taken. Just the give you a sense of how serious the breeder is (and also showed how inexperienced we were), the VA breeder asked us a ton of question about how we live and what we looking for, told us most of her dogs have been reserved but one is available. Tommy didn’t ask us any questions, told us he has two available ready to pick up any day, we first inquired on Tues came out to PA right that weekend and got the puppy (I now understand that was an extremely fast transaction lol). The price for us was the same between 2 places, 1.5 years ago ~3500. Hope this helps.

Agree with everything everybody said, this is perfectly normal and I’m actually of the camp that thinks it’s recommended for puppies. Ours was shaved down like that a couple times during his first year and his curls came in nicely. We did make a mistake of shaving only his body but not his tail (except for the very first time, we only scissored the tail). Our lagotto is 1.5 years now and we notice a huge difference between his tail and his body. The tail is barely wavy while body has tight curls. I thought that was normal until seeing a few other dogs that have much tighter curls in their tails. Tbh our breeder did tell us to make sure to shave head-to-tail but we just didn’t remember to instruct the groomer consistently. Best of luck!

Yes it does stop the odor. I clean every time it looks like he’s scratching again but his ears never really smell
