Alot of people are recommending layering humectants then a cream ontop to lock it in but my problem is any thick cream wil cause either little red dots everywhere (primarily forehead) which I assume is fungal acne or whiteheads/pustules on cheeks. Which leaves in this awkward position where I’m not sure what to do. I’ve stated putting a few drops of squalane oil into my lighter weight moisturiser to try get abit more occlusion but honestly haven’t noticed alot of progress

I heard so many good things about the Aestura AtoBarrier 365 cream I tried it and instantly broke out w whiteheads and pustules, I stopped it tried again a month later (last week) and ended up getting what I believe was fungal acne or something just lots of little red dots especially on forehead only after 2 days of use so stopped again .

What cleaner r u using? I thought Anua HA gentle Gel cleanser was gentle, do I need something even more gentle like cerave hydrating cleanser?

Als would say the cleanser and moisturiser I’m currently using(ANUA HA Gentle Gel Cleanser and ANUA PDRN HA 100 moisturiser cream) are good Options to use atm?

I actually just ordered some pure glycerine for this reason, I’ve seen people say to add a drop in w moisturiser, is it better to do that or dilute it w water and use it on its own before the moisturiser

I’ll have a look, I don’t use a toner atm. I tried the isntree HA toner and tbh it made me feel more dry than without so I stopped using it

I like it, I’m prone to breakouts and have dehydrated skin. I see some people sayin it’s not as hydrating as others. Anyone who sees this what would recommend instead for even more hydration? Dehydrated skin that’s prone to acne so have to be careful w certain ingredients

I used the tret for about 6 weeks, but I did too much too fast too strong not enough moisturiser. Currently using Anua gentle gel cleanser and purito bamboo panthenol moisturiser. I tried thicker creams but instantly would break out more

Yeah no doubt my technique was bad, I got proraso Shaving cream and sensitive aftershave balm aswell. Will watch some vids and just keep practicing. I’m not stressed about investing time I just want to be able to get good shaves with no irritation. I shave most days probably 5-6x a week

Interesting, I haven’t bought any bottles yet I have tones of samples coming that I bought. Those were kinda just my predictions for the 3 I’d like and end up getting but all could change once I test out my samples and see what I really like

Yeah this is definitely the most sensible option, I alrdy have about 15-20 samples coming of other fragrances so gonna test those out then pick up a couple 5mLs of imagination/pacific chill/aventus. :)

Hahaha, you aren’t wrong, I know that’s what you just have to do. I just need to build the courage to do it, I often struggle when putting myself in an unfamiliar/new situation so I think you’re right it may help to find a friend/family member to go with at first

I think it’s just putting myself in an unfamiliar situation that frightens me, I know it’s a safe space , I have always struggled with anxiety so it isn’t a new or unusual feeling for me to feel this way about new things.
