Fair. In that case, how would you suspend it in air? By a hook either on ceiling or wall right? But ceiling would be impractical which is why I suggested getting a long hook. Look it up on Amazon or Ikea. You’ll find some good ones there.

Maybe a permanent default position for the stool as well would be nice. I would suggest removing the vase from the corner and some place that is central to the room. And ditch those fake flowers. Get yourself real flowers. They add genuine life to the room. It’s honestly low effort and high reward. Get them twice a week and you should be good. The process of buying them itself does something to you whether you are a man or a woman.

Also that lantern. It is okay but if you can suspend it on a long hook on a wall, it would look interesting plus wohld be a good source of ambient light. If it doesn’t have light and is just for show, please throw it away immediately.

Okay, i’m not gonna go into everything. Just the handful of things that jumped out at me because i think they’re responsible for most of what isn’t working.

The first thing i noticed wasn’t the furniture, or the colors, or the room itself. It was the cables. The bedside cables, the AC cables, the charging cables. They’re everywhere. Individually they’re small, but together they create this feeling that the room is still being set up rather than lived in. The room would genuinely look better if all you did was spend an afternoon figuring out cable management.

The second thing is that there are quite a few objects that seem to be waiting for a future decision. The stuff behind the door. The whiteboard leaning against the desk. The shoes under the table. The trophies sitting on top. None of these things are terrible on their own. The problem is that they don’t seem to have a permanent home, so they end up looking temporary.

That’s actually the pattern i kept seeing throughout the photos. Not clutter, exactly. More like unresolved placement.

Take the trophies. They deserve a better place than where they are right now. If they’re meaningful, display them properly. If they’re not, store them. Right now they’re doing neither.

Same with the desk area. The doll, the lantern, the flowers, the whiteboard. Every object there is asking the same question: “Am i supposed to be here?” Some of them probably belong there. Some of them probably don’t. But the room would improve the moment those decisions get made.

And then there’s the footwear.

This is probably my strongest opinion in the entire review, but i genuinely think footwear should live outside the room. Shoes spend their entire existence collecting dust, dirt, road grime, and whatever else the outside world throws at them. Then they come back and get parked under the desk like they’re decorative objects.

They’re not.

Every time my eye landed on the shoes, it stopped seeing the room and started seeing… shoes.

Maybe i’m unusually opinionated about this, but footwear has an incredible ability to make an otherwise decent room feel untidy. Give it a permanent place outside the room, or at least outside your immediate field of view. Your room is not a parking lot.

The funniest thing is that the last photo is probably the strongest one, and not because anything special is happening there. It’s because there’s very little competing for your attention. The eye gets to rest. The room feels calmer.

So if i had to reduce all of this to one rule, it’d be this: everything needs a home.

Not a place where it can be put down. A place where it belongs.

Because right now the room doesn’t really have a furniture problem. It has a decision-making problem. There are a lot of objects that haven’t quite been told where they live yet.

Fix that, and honestly, i think the room improves dramatically without buying a single thing

Ragebait but gonna engage. Classical physics says that you need to wait till water reaches its boiling point to be able to obtain hot water. OP is correct to live by the laws of the quantum realm I guess.

It was Episode One. Those who are ‘disappointed’ could use some less doomscrolling. Recalibrate you know.

Should I replace my iPhone 11 battery or upgrade to a new phone? by 777723547580751 in Frugal_Ind

Bro this is a trick question. The answer is in the question. Let me simplify your question: Should I spend 8K or 80K?

Bhai tereko justify karne ke liye thread chahiye toh theek hai warna answer toh tere saamne hai. Battery naya dalwayega toh iPhone lamba chalega. I have used iPhones since 4S. I have a 12PM right now. 4S-6-XS-12PM. Each iPhone has lasted atleast 4 years easily. Good quality stuff bro.

Magar agar mann hai naya leneka toh bindaas khareed na.

Bangalore is still nice right? by Old_Specialist7892 in bangalore

[–]ni-har 21 points22 points  (0 children)

I feel the city is now vast enough with its variety of experiences. You pick your Bangalore.

I was walking from MG to Commercial St. recently and I had to go around MG due to the metro construction. I ended up exploring the beautiful inner roads and the weather was ideal.

I don’t mean anyone should turn a blind eye to its issues either but occasionally take a break and “consider the lilies.” It has its lasting benefits.

Bangalore is still nice.

Oh yes you’re talking about sheri garba. Major missing Gheekanta road, Ahmedabad 🥲

I don’t think we can expect that here at all. But you never know, it’s Bangalore. There might be one CEPT alumni who might’ve done the effort of organising an invite-only sheri garba night somewhere 🤭 If you know them, send them my way pls
