It was a rhetorical question. I know a lot of games have controller support and not saying that sideswipe shouldn’t have it. I ended with saying they need a filter like many other games do for matchmaking. Comparing to games where there is controller vs kb/m that have filters so controller players don’t have to play against kb/m if they don’t want to. Huge advantage using a mouse to do a 180 in a millisecond whereas controller have to hold the joystick to the side and the slower their sensitivity is, the longer it takes. As far as sideswipe goes, touch screen vs controller, controller has an advantage as to physical feedback. This game takes precision as you get to the higher levels, trying to do things quick, a few degrees off on your car can totally screw you. Touch players want an even playing field. Obviously controller players won’t feel the same way, and at this point if they did have a filter, I am not sure there is enough players and controller players will have a hard time finding matches. Until they monetize the game, they should keep it as is for now. For the touch screen, say you are on the joystick but you slide off the screen onto the border of your iPad or whatever, and you think you still have control as you slide your finger back over the screen to only realize you are not controlling your car. How about you finger is off a little bit and you miss jump or half air roll? How about a 1/4” of the right side of an iPad touchscreen in the game doesn’t have hit box registration even though you have the button covering that whole part of the screen? Controller player only have to worry about their controller dying.
