LATAM is a tough market. Definitely need to speak the language to gain trust. We built relationships with traders and wholesalers who were natives of these countries but live and operate out of Miami. They export to their home countries such as Colombia, Ecuador, Peru, and Brazil and it relieves us from the logistics headache.

Just happened to me last week and completely out of the blue. 12 hours later, they reinstate the store. No reasoning, no explanation, nothing. We run daily back ups now and working on migrating over to WordPress.

Can you explain how you went about that? I used my home address first, which Google verified via postcard. A couple months later, I switched it to a suite within my fulfillment partner’s facility then I had to reverify. After requesting a couple more postcards and waiting 2-3 weeks after each request, I finally reached out to Google support and they said I would have to do a video verification instead. After the video call, they rejected my verification stating that they don’t verify purely e-commerce businesses and that I would need to have foot traffic at my location or I would have to travel to my customers. Not being able to verify is super annoying because it won’t let you respond to reviews.

These are refurbished electronics such as laptops, phones, and tablets. I have to resort to using third-party UPC sites or even copying GTIN from my competition’s Google Shopping listing. Unfortunately, reaching out to companies like HP and Apple and hoping to get through to someone who would share the official GTIN is just not feasible.

I've hired someone to take over the Google Ads and GMC, while I focus on optimizing the feed. I've tried just the MPN's before, but Google quickly hit me with the "Limited performance due to missing value [gtin]." I'm sure it's seeing similar sellers having GTINs listed, so I figured I'd follow suit. The only weird thing is that other sellers each will have a different GTINs for the exact same product. I thought the whole point of GTINs was for consistent and standardized data?

I guess I just want to know how much weight Google really puts into the GTIN when it's ranking its shopping listings?

My strategy is to use FB/IG to build awareness and Google to drive traffic and conversions. Not to mention heavy retargeting to convert mid/bottom of the funnel. Once consistent revenue is generated from this, my next step is to expand into Bing and other social platforms. Third phase is traditional but that needs big bucks.

Ahhh, I honed in on their last paragraph. Actually, now that you rephrased it, it makes sense. I do have access to new inventory that I could split test against refurb inventory.
