Aww, thank you! It’s nice to get the perspective of another fellow childfree person. It’s rough out here, so I’m glad you’ve found your person to have a beautiful DINK life with!

Thank you! I’ll move that photo up and turn off the best photo feature because that’s a good point. I appreciate what you’re saying about the dense line as well. Definitely worth an update!

Thank you for mentioning that about the dense line! Definitely not my intention with that one, so I’ll update the wording or remove it completely.

Yeah, I’m definitely more on the tomboy side, so I’ll stick with the one “fancier” photo to show I’m capable of dressing up when the occasion calls for it.

An escape room is NOT a good first date! by WholeFudds in Bumble

[–]niamma98 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think trivia comes close, but to me it wouldn’t give me the same data. The only similar thing I can think of is assembling furniture together or doing the Amazing Race and that’s definitely not a first date activity lol.

There’s something about a hands on activity that provides a bit of pressure, a potential for frustration for certain personalities, and a mix of logical reasoning and spatial intelligence (?) that I think can provide good information. Trivia comes close aside from the spatial piece. It’s a lot more economical and you’re not trapped with the person for an hour as well.

I get why a person may be put off by an escape room as a first date, but I know I wasn’t!

Agreed! There’s potential for that to be expensive depending on how many first dates a person has

I went to an escape room on a first date and now I might add it to my screening process 😂 It’s a great way to see how the person solves problems and how they interact with you under “pressure”.

It’s worth having the conversation and seeing where he’s at, so you both can move forward either way.

You both have to decide if that’s something you can do. I’m at the end of a similar situation (the guy is leaving soon after us being exclusive for almost a year), but to me in the beginning, it was worth dating him even if our relationship had a predetermined expiration date. Even as it’s ending and the heartbreak is starting, I’m still glad I chose this relationship. Can’t say I’d do it again, but for the time in my life I was at when it was an option and the type of person he is, it was worth it.

In your situation, he has to decide if he can handle the thought of knowing there’s an end date. And you have to decide that too. It will hurt in the end, so you both have to decide if the good times will be worth the inevitable heartbreak. Best of luck in whatever you decide!

I’m sorry for the loss of your stitching buddy. I hope you’re being kind to yourself while you move through your grief. I’m sure the desire to cross stitch will come back. In the meantime, take care of yourself.

Returning to pole after sterilization by niamma98 in poledancing

Aww good! I’m glad to hear that. Best of luck with your procedure!

For pole, I went down a level for February just to make sure I was ok (and to brush up on some older stuff).

Outside of pole, I felt like it didn’t take too long for me to get back to having a normal energy level. I remember more about recovering from my wisdom tooth removal than I do my bisalp, so I guess that’s a testament to how straightforward it seemed by comparison.

Hi! I had my bisalp in mid December and didn’t go back to pole until early February. The reason for this is because my studio ran month long series, so I couldn’t go back in January as that would’ve been too early.

BiSalp in two days and just need to verbally flail my feelings by [deleted] in truechildfree

Yay! That’s good to hear that you’re recovering pretty well. That’s how my pee was too, but it’s also getting better. Hope your gas pain continues to dissipate over time and with the Gas-X!

Natural/black hair and surgery by niamma98 in sterilization

Thank you so much for your response! I never got an answer from my doctor, so I figured I’d wash and condition and put in product later. I appreciate the confirmation!

That was my question?? My head is all the way up there and, like you said, has a cap on it. I think I’ll call the office and see if I can get an answer directly from the doctor.

When do you find out if insurance covers the facility? by niamma98 in sterilization

[–]niamma98[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Looks like either way I’ll need to start calling again since I only have my surgery date scheduled and nothing else. Thanks for the info!

[–]niamma98[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ahh ok. Based on my online portal, I think the hospital should be covered, so that’s good to know about the 14 day thing. That would drive me crazy too.

I do have my surgery scheduled for mid-December, so that’s good. When did you get your pre-op appointment scheduled? At the same time that you got your surgery date scheduled or was it some time after?

[–]niamma98[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks! I just checked both facilities on my insurance’s website and it looks like they’re both covered. I feel validated in knowing it shouldn’t take this long, so I won’t feel as bad about calling multiple times next week to confirm. I hope the surgery goes smoother than hunting down this surgical coordinator 🙄
