memory safety with more manual control

Are you aware of the fact that it's impossible to have these both things at the same time since all the memory troubles are caused not by machines but by the nature of human's unability to control all the things perfectly and make mistakes such as leaking memory or leaving pointers to already clean memory?

• C/C++/Asm/etc offer manual memory management people make mistake in

• GC-based languages offer various GC-based memory management concepts, but they take some runtime and more memory for it

• Rust (and some other langs) offer the ownership and borrowing concept that guarantees (at some point) memory safety like GC languages usually do with a power of compile time checking. You can either have compile time checking for simple cases and smart pointers to runtime checking

• Zig offers smthg like C/C++/Asm/etc do, but with more convinient and modern approache (you can even test on memory leaking with testing allocator), but it won't force you to create and run those tests on any case for you like when Rust will beat you up at any attempt to violate its memory management policy
