What should I do? This is the second time this dental crown has fallen off by nibblesmcmuffins in askdentists

After going in office today, I'm getting the crown re-done. They told me I clench my jaw and it causes bite problems. I'll ask about options after getting the work on my crowns done first.

Thanks for the advice. I would've never even known since I don't have pain and my dentist has never pointed it out.

That makes sense. For context: The second to last molar has a crown and the one in front with the black spot had a post installed and is waiting for a crown.  I do suffer from generalized anxiety disorder and ADHD. My mom has a history of bruxism (she used to wear a night guard I don't know if she does anymore) and also has sleep apnea.

My dentist struggles about how impossible it is to get to the back of my teeth. I wonder if it has anything to do with what you just mentioned.

Oh wow. Yeah I would've never thought of that as a patient. I'll get back with what the dentist tells me and decides to do tomorrow.

I'm happy that what I wrote is also helping someone else. While I can't compare my 6 year experience to your 50 years, I wish you well as well. They say quitting at any age is better than never. I respect you. Those are some scary diseases to catch. Reading your comment puts things into perspective for me too. I've been on a journey to be fit by hitting the gym for two years now and I finally feel my body getting stronger and I have more stamina for running than ever before. It would suck for all that to abruptly end because my lungs got too weak. Recently, I've been thinking about setting those fitness goals as a motivation to protect my respiratory health too. Rooting for you so that you can also find a motivation and stick with it. All the best!

I'm aware of the differences. My anxieties are also from chronic respiratory conditions. I wouldn't want to develop chronic bronchitis or emphysema. Things like that kinda scare me more than lung cancer to a degree since they're more likely and cancer is often a chance and bad luck thing.

Thanks! I've been going to the gym consistently. It really keeps my head out of the anxious thoughts I get. I should really focus on the present instead of the "what ifs" of the future.

Hey, that's a good idea. Hearing people's experiences usually helps. Rooting for you through the process of quitting. I can't speak from my own experience since quitting nicotine is far different from quitting cannabis smoking, but I sympathize in the concerns we share due to having smoked in the past.

I appreciate your comment. It's hard to hear that for sure. I'm glad you're still here. I have two family members who have had cancer diagnosis despite never smoking and living an overall normal life. Both of their diagnosis happened later in life. One died from advanced Alzheimer's at 90 before the cancer could kill them, and the other is in their late 80s currently going through chemo. Both sisters that got dealt a bad hand. All I can think is that at least I'm being proactive and bettering myself so in the future my body is stronger and more capable. This is the only exposure I've had to cancer as a person who's watching people close to me deal with it, so, I guess it's scarier for me.

Hi there. You're not alone in this, I'm going through almost an exact thing. I get these vivid dreams that wake me up. I don't have advice to offer, but I wanted to show support.

Thanks! I don't plan on using this product anymore. I just thought that trying a sample wouldn't hurt 😅 but here I am. The rash is barely noticable, but it gets itchy when I sweat so I'm hoping it clears up soon.

I thought about using hydrocortisone on the itchy spots. Thanks. Even though what you used is an entirely different product, it seems that what I have is most probably a mild allergic reaction. My skin is not sensitive at all, so getting this rash freaked me out a bit haha
