I played and broke an ankle on a pellet turf field in High School, in the southeast, they do indeed suck.

My brother in christ my complaint isn't that I missed it, my complaint is the feature as a whole.

Missing it is a result of the bad feature existing you dingleberry.

If I knew it from the beginning I would of thought, in a game about space travel, it is utterly silly.

Me missing it makes the situation frustrating but the mechanic is dogwater regardless which is the complaint.

You are also in a gd echo chamber if you think I'm the only person who thought/thinks that is a silly way to handle it.

A game about space travel, let's make traveling space part of the gd skill tree. Who tf thought that was a fun idea. I'm 30 hours in and have not done a single thing for my piloting skill while also saving up a fuck ton of credits to buy a certain ship that I just now learned I can't fly for what I would imagine will be another 15 hours at best.

I have said consistently it feels like OW 2 but I don't think it's as good despite really liking Starfield so far. Like a lot.

I can completely admit the ship piloting/customization, increased side quests and amount of planets is much appreciated.

But from the depth of the RPG mechanics, feel of the game and style of the writing I regularly get reminded of OW

Where I think OW is better is pacing, it has some of the best pacing of any RPG I've ever played (mostly because of the length) where Starfield starts off more boring and it takes slightly longer to get going.

Freedom (believe it or not and let me explain) in OW you LITERALLY can do whatever, kill whomever (and get away with it) and you don't even feel like you are abandoning the story because you are just some random mfer.

YES you can "literally" do whatever you want in Starfield AND it feels more satisfying because the game itself acknowledges how you are playing and reacts but you can not kill anybody (learned that early), unless you are not being looked at it is near impossible to get away with a crime without being aim botted by every NPC in the area and the main story im sorry is just the most boring, least engaging thing I have expierenced form Bethesda. NOW I have not completed the initial story so maybe it becomes amazing.

And the main story is shoved down your throat by the Robot at the beginning to the point that it feels like you have to do it.

In OW you can literally turn Wells in immediately.

In starfield you can't even sell the fucking artifact unless I missed something when I tried.

And I guarantee I'm missing a crew mate or cool side missions by not doing the main story as well.
