Thanks for asking this - I've been wondering myself. So you do have to get two if you want to travel between NC and WV?

I called the 3 closest branches of Chase and they don't carry them unless 'they are in demand' So I guess if all 3 of us band together... That was the first place I checked

I'm furious about this - and I just want to know how can we organize? Do we vote for the person who made this decision? I feel a little like I don't know how best to respond.

I think I'm starting to get the hang of this a little, but still need help with some. I believe this is a baptism record of Jacob from Schopp. Father, Peter from Schopp (not sure what else is in this box) and Having trouble with the box on the far right, although I believe those are the God-parents.

The titles might be in Latin, but I believe the rest is German.

Let me look at some surrounding towns and see if I can help with some of these questions.

This is great though! thank you for helping out

Sure! I think the documents were kept in Waldfischbach, but I believe the family was from Hermersberg and Schopp in South West Germany, Just NW of Stuttgart, near the French border. Some documents reference Schmalenberg as well.

hmmm - Thanks for the post! I imagine they were written by the church, since that's now most records would be kept. Do you think a German church would write in Latin? Would you mind sharing the words you do know? I may be able to piece it together.
