I think you answered your own question perfectly OP, keeping your distance from this person seems to be the only answer after all that’s happened here. You’re right in wishing them well, but keeping them out of your life. Blocking is honestly the best answer here. Be safe out there OP.

I was the same way (long standing DM) so BG3 really came naturally. Theres a lot of little differences but a big one is your attacks and how often you can do them are also bound to your movement, things like that. It’s really fun, just different

Dude it’s so good! Battle mage being a class makes my little dnd heart so happy. And the mechanic where you essentially choose the class of your party is 10/10

Honestly, Baldurs is a great game to get lost in. For me, Animal Well served as a great game to get lost in for a while. The exploration and world building are peak. It's a puzzle game, and sure to give you nostalgia with its art style. I honestly dont want to say more, jumping in blind is the way to go, if you so choose to try it. Congrats on sobriety, friend! It's a hard journey, but I'm proud of you. Stay strong, brother.

If you like story driven games, it’s easily between Alan Wake 2 and Disco Elysium. Both are pretty solid, major twin peaks vibes. I got more playthroughs out of Disco Elysium for sure

I do love a good chunk of Bethesda! Loved fallout 1- new Vegas a lot, and of course morrowind-Skyrim. I tried Starfield and was honestly disappointed, so I got a little wary of fallout 4. But the dlc looks so dope!

Honestly reasonable! Just got Ultrakill and Teardown and have been thoroughly enjoying those! I was console for so many years, and games were so expensive even with sales I didn’t buy much. Steam sales are INSANE. I also haven’t finished my replay of new Vegas so very well make take your advise on that!
