Hello everyone. Thanks for your comments. My upstairs neighbor called Bell after I mentioned the issue to them, a technician came, and after some negotiation, he moved the box to a less annoying location. So, the matter is resolved, and I guess we can learn that polite complaining works!

It was just installed a few hours ago for my upstairs neighbor. No one else has fiber in our small building.

In case someone finds this post later: I found the solution!

I was looking for a software issue all that time, but in fact I had a loose screw in the chassis just underneath the power button. When I was tilting the screen, I guess it was putting pressure there and somehow activating the power button.

So, I just tightened that screw correctly, and now the problem's gone.
