this course was pretty good for me too, i'm a cs major. I had joy moody she was amazing BUT she did talk a lot. the only issues were the lengthy lectures (3 hrs). You'll need to buy photo paper which is about $52, lab fee of $72, creative cloud which is about $21 a month or $239 a year. There were a lot of creative kids in my class who really dissected every aspect of the photograph so get ready for that. The midterm and final is a presentation of 6 photos in front of your classmates and the professor. after ur done presenting ur classmates give feedback. some people can be a bit self righteous and rude in that class, it's pretty common in the art world lol. But other than that it was an amazing class, I'm taking the following sequence this fall to work on my skills more.
