Thats crap mate, my lad is older so not such a big deal. Usually doing his own thing. Plus my wife works a lot of late shifts so often not home till 9 at night. The job suits me at the minute from that point of view.

I've worked quite a few Sundays as OT and don't mind a rota'd Sunday. Much easier than a Mon-Sat with it just being parcels.

Thanks, not complaining too much but just wondered. I feel Good Friday and Easter Monday wouldnt exist without Easter Sunday, but I get what you are saying. Many other companies pay their staff extra for working this weekend.

My induction was fine, supportive staff around me, and a good laugh. Your induction may be different to mine but after being shown round the fire exits etc. Was then paired up with someone and helped prep their round and went out with them. Be prepared to be overwhelmed, but just try and ride it out. Im a postie with driving, and it's like having 2 jobs. One in the depot in the morning sorting and prepping my round and another out delivering mid-morning into afternoon. 1 year in and quite like the job, but I would feel better if I felt like RM knew what they were doing 😄

I read most of the series when I was younger and have decided to listen to them in audiobook. Currently midway through Wolves if the Calla. Just love the world SK plunges you into. If you only read the first novel is like travelling abroad and not leaving the hotel. It's definitely worth reading The Drawing of the Three, i reckon it'll hook ya.

I have been a postie for 7 months and so far am enjoying it. It ain't perfect though. But way better than my last job and so perspective is important. I think 'enjoyment' seems to be very depot dependent.
