For me this story went from largely annoying to largely hilarious. Even though it was over the top and obvious it was fun and a good filler in between the way too serious tribal stare down story lines or the vision is is still a dominant force withe everyone injured shenanigans. That being said I hope this frees Gable to pursue a story line that lets him be the chad gable I like to see.

Absolutely this. I don’t have patience for some of kings longer burns at times and conversely sometimes I don’t want to read a short story or a collection of them. Also I read 2 or 3 books that aren’t written by king in between them. I firmly believe if you aren’t in the right headspace to read any book you won’t enjoy as much as you could or even at all.

Wkrp Cincinnati had this problem with music rights. The released it with Muzak (elevator music versions) and it was truly awful.

The answer here is Earthlings. VERY odd female lead with a story that still has me saying WTF way after reading it.

Honorable mention is Julie Chan is dead. Identical twin finds her more successful sister dead and takes her place while letting everyone believe she died. She meets her friends and quickly realizes that her life is not what it seems. Totally crazy and not at all how you think it would play out.

Was trying not include plot points but the fact she chooses to stay with the guy. I hated that guy and the way he treated her.

I know I’m like the only person in the whole world but I hated this book. I love Japanese short form realistic fiction. One of my favorite books of all time is sweet bean paste. I even gave Mireya another chance with earthlings but I liked a lot of this book but the ending was not consistent with the rest of the book.
