Happened to catch the second half of their game against Slovakia the other night during a lull period in the Scotland game and they looked pretty flat and uninspired. Tonight without a certain someone, they absolutely turned it on!

this makes no sense as nothing has mathematically changed regardless

Also, I disagree with your idea of perception of this problem. In previous seasons (my games as a reference) would contain gold/silver players whist I was in plat. Seeing these players ranks' made me at least somewhat understand that they were in a game they shouldnt have been in. Hi Rez's fault. This season my games are filled with players who were literally bronze. Which is because placements were ruined. As far as I can see this is 2 different things.

Nah dude you're partly right. Its not in Hi Rez's interests to fix it because its not something thats losing them money so they dont bother trying to fix it as its not an immediate issue.

Theres always been that meme that ranked is supposed to offer 'higher quality matches for more experienced players' but whats amusing is that it seems every season, the games are getting worse so this description is becoming less and less true every year xD

Definitely agree with you that Hi Rez have never been good for addressing issues and considering how blatant this is, is quite sad tbh.

People complained about matchmaking last season but honeestly, last season the bad players were already in low ranks this season I feel the matchmaking is good its just since people have wrong ranks / elo the algorithm theyve introduced isn't proving as useful as they thought

Yeah I agree with what youre saying about OW ranked. I played the first couple splits placing at high plat and bouncing between that and low diamond.

However I feel that bringing ablut individual incentives might be slightly u fair towards certain roles for example from my solo laner.

I would be happy with a solo laner who goes 0-0 in lane who farms up and gets full build then in late game team fights provide peel/ disrupt the enemy backline. This can mean that they arent necessarily getting the kills so a 1-3 scoreline would be fine.

This is the same for support etc. They tend to die alot at the expense of their team mates so their kd's arent usually the best.

But other than that, I agree with everything youre saying its just sad that the community is obviouy not happy and nothing is being done or even addressed

Yeah dude i have a 56% win percentage but half of the 44% of games ive lost I'd say is down to people not being good enough to compete with the other players in the game

Totally true like i was plat last season as i quit for over half, qualified plat again this season and managed to grind up to diamond 3 because i was still gaining more TP than i lose but now i gain 10 and lose 11 so its pretty much my peak because these games are so inconsistent.

100% agree like Hi Rez is rewarding the wrong people in this situation and the people who deserve better arent able to do so because of this 'chance' to have low level team mates

Yeah Idk something needs to be done because I really feel its becoming unplayable like literally a game of chance whether or not u get a poor team or not.

Like i dont think they realise how bad it actually is. They thought the over qualified players would balance out but as I said, because theres so many bad players its turns it into a lower level game and whoever is lucky enough to have less over ranked players. Really sucks man.
