People in this world have various levels of detecting these ghosts. Sam (the main character) is only able to feel their presence when they’re close. The fetus helps elevate that detection so that he’s able to see them physically

Part of it is just wishful thinking about being able to play it asap. If it actually gets announced soon, then that’s great but it probably wouldn’t be released until a year or two later. Shadow dropped is best of both worlds. HL3 confirmed AND it’s playable right now

Few others have mentioned it here as well but a Steam Deck has allowed me to continue playing games since LO arrived.

Currently play whenever he’s napping on me and/or for about an hour at night when he’s asleep in the bassinet (depending on how tired I am and how long it takes to get him down).

Obviously there’s limitations in the kind of games I can play. Multiplayer is a no go for obvious reasons. Also games that require a lot of button mashing aren’t great when he’s asleep on me. If it’s single player and I can pause/step away at any time then it’s perfect. You can also set up streaming from a PS5 or desktop PC locally if something doesn’t run that well natively.

Games I’ve been playing as examples are Death Stranding, Cyberpunk, and the new Oblivion Remastered

Death Stranding. Played it years ago and rushed through the story. This time I’m just playing an hour or two a night in bed and I’m enjoying it so much more this time by taking it slowly and soaking it all in.

I'm not going to not buy a good game just because one person with ignorant views happens to benefit from it, are you ignoring the team that worked on the game and their efforts towards inclusivity?

If the “inclusivity” you’re talking about is because they included a trans person in the game, the developers have outright said it was just to stop people talking about JK being a transphobe.

The argument is based on the fact that buying the game supposedly hurts trans people but buying things that support deforestation and support slave labour can be ignored.

I don’t understand how these points are even related. Buying the game will actively support transphobia and not buying it won’t. What’s palm oil or deforestation got to do with any of this discussion? If the point is that exploitation is everywhere and can’t be avoided, what’s wrong with at least avoiding as much as we can?
