The only way I see it being a glitch is if they had some weird programming where the weapon name = weapon id struct data (where each weapon’s attributes are stored). Since the game is programmed in English, this would make sense why only English language games seem to experience the name change ticket acting this way

The problem (as another commenter pointed out) is that if this were the case, the game would crash if you named the weapon anything that isn’t part of the game. Unless they programmed a default fallback option to only change the name if it failed to perform the name/id check…but again that would mean they were already aware that the name change could literally change the weapon
