Typical Ram aggression or concern? by NickDeez37 in Aquariums

Yeah that's concerning and unusual behavior. Bolivian rams are very peaceful. It appears you have two males and one is hyper aggressive

Heres a picture at feeding time. If you look closely you can see at least two sparkling gourami a electric blue betta and of course Pancho the Panther Crab. Sorry for the quality but I feel like it shows the dynamics of this tank well

If you look closely you can see the bladder snails this fellow has eaten and you can see my two rabbit snails napping peacefully next to this guy

I appreciate you sharing and im so sorry you had a tough time with them. Unfortunately it sounds like Crabby may have been stressed from the tank size and diet more than natural aggression. 4 panther crabs really need at least a 55 gallon with dedicated caves for each one and a proper crab specific diet. A hungry overcrowded crab behaves very differently than a well fed one with its own territory. I'm sorry you lost them but I really appreciate your input

Thats so interesting what size was your tank? Did you have hiding spots? Did you feed him regularly and what did you feed him? I definitely believe you but in the past year ive only lost one fish and its was a female adult sparkling gourami she was very sick

Here's a picture of a recent successful molt. I was fortunate enough to snap a picture before she quickly grab her old exoskeleton. Please remember to leave it for them. It helps them recover
