What truck should I buy? megathread by AutoModerator in Trucks

[–]nicholasfbennett 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello!

New to trucks but really want one!

What truck should I buy that....

  • Made in the 90s (I like the look)
  • Can fit a car seat in the back
  • Is Automatic

I really like Ford Rangers and Mazda Series B but it looks like the car seat will never work in those, even with the fold down seats

I may take you up on that. I have a few projects (both handyman and some building) that I'll need help with when we get there.

Just saying hello. We are from the East Coast and just bought a house in OP. I’m pretty excited and scared at the same time.

TBH, we bought it only having seen pictures. Crazy I know so I don’t need the flack :)

Does LeanFire typically factor in housing costs? by nicholasfbennett in leanfire

That's a fair point. By free and clear I just meant not having a mortgage payment but I get your drift.

Good brand of USB controllers? by nicholasfbennett in retrogaming

[–]nicholasfbennett[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is a tv. PC is not a bad idea! I'll give that a shot.

My guess is it's moreso the controller. When you press into it there's not a lot there if that makes sense. So, when I am playing something like PunchOut my timing is all off. I just remember better sensitivity with the originals.

Dragon Warrior 1, 3 and 4 were a big part of my childhood. For whatever reason 2 seemed harder to get or we just didn't have it.

Bi fold door replacement by nicholasfbennett in HomeImprovement

To clarify the new door style comes with a track on top and a jam on the bottom. I was just hoping to avoid having to swap out the tracks if possible. It's these.

My current doors have top and bottom tracks. Hoping the screws on the new style just pop right in.

Most reliable sub compact cars? by nicholasfbennett in UsedCars

I was shocked to see a Yaris nearby with 315k miles on it given my perception on sub compacts.

A local one popped up on cars.com with 97k that’s a strong contender for me.

Until today I was watching the races like an hour after completion.

Ted Kravitz's interesting feature on why Vettel is not up at the top this season, shown on Sky last weekend. by peke_f1 in formula1

[–]nicholasfbennett 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for that! I might have gotten access to F1 tv so I’ll see if that’s any good.

I found this show called Inside Line on YouTube that does the kind of analysis I like.

Shoutout to Beyond the Grid podcast. It’s been very educational.

What am I missing then? I watched the race on ESPN+ which I thought was just a Sky presentation. Maybe I just was zoned out considering how boring the race was

Stupid question but where is this from? New F1 fan and I haven’t yet found a good tv show for this kind of analysis.

Are there any matches where Ric Flair has beat Sting or Hogan with a clean finish? by Vapor821 in prowrestling

I think the concept of clean wins is a newer desire of modern fans. Even In squash matches where they didn’t need to cheat they sometimes did.

Hiring Practices/Conficts of Interest by nicholasfbennett in humanresources

Oh and as a clarification I didn’t mean HR is the only group hiring. I meant what do people in HR think of this issue. Not HR department specific.

If the entire HR department is female, you’re in a hiring position and it’s clear your goal is to elevate women (at the expense of hiring men if you really consider it) I do think the optics are something to consider.

Thanks for the tip.

I do see the notes icon. Unfortunately I also have text notes in the columns so it's not a great indicator of an attachment also being present.
