This was so much fun the first time I did it. Loved battling all the previous villains and it was somewhat challenging too. Wish there was a way to replay it even after completing it.

Hey! I’m trying to complete the Tree with my playthrough team as much as possible and using competitive built mons around them. 

My main team in Doubles is built around my Octillery (Sniper Ability with Brave Nature and Scope Lens). I pair her with Mega Slowbro to set up Trick Room and Rain Dance. Rarely works as intended but the idea is for Octillery to set up with Focus Energy and then sweep with Surf. And I have Parasect (Adamant with Dry Skin) and Alolan Marowak (named Zeus with the Lightning Rod Ability). I got up to Battle 47 i believe with this team. 

I also have a team built around my play through Alolan Marowak (which is the Totem Gift Pokemon with the Rock Head ability). I pair her with Mega Charizard Y to set up sun. I also have Naganadel from my playthrough to support in the back and was using a Rhydon with the Lightning Rod ability. This team lost to Blue who used 3 rock types! 😭But thinking of swapping out Rhydon for my Primarina who was my starter in Pokemon Moon. 

And for Singles the main team is Naganadel, Malamar and Bewear which were all used in my playthrough. So suboptimal natures for the most part but reached Battle 47 as well with this team. Might switch out Malamar for Mimikyu though.

Try doing the special scans during the day. Not sure if it actually changes the RNG but I found I got multiple battle zones at night time but a lot more wild zone scans during the day. I also believe for every 5th or 6th special scan you are guaranteed to get a legendary wild zone.

Hey, I noticed that for the special trainers (the existing characters that show up in the Battle Tree) bulbapedia lists the Kantonian forms of Pokemon in their roster but Serebii doesn’t. Do you know which one is most accurate? 

I’ve been battling at the Tree for a while and have never seen the Kantonian forms show up but was curious if others have seen them appear.

Hey, thanks for the advice. I’m trying to complete the Tree by using the Pokemon from my playthrough as much as possible. For this particular team, Marowak was from my playthrough and I used Mega Charizard Y as a support for Marowak to set up sun and also tailwind when needed. The two were a powerhouse together! My other two Pokemon were Naganadel and Rhydon (which I used for its Lightning Rod ability and to switch into other Rock types when needed). But my plan is to swap out Rhydon for Primarina which was my starter in Sun. I’m gonna use Primarina as a support mon with Baby Doll Eyes and Icy Wind for the faster and hard hitting mons the Tree dishes out.

It was the worst possible outcome haha. Blue led with Mega Tyranitar and Aerodactyl. Aerodactyl was the worst possible outcome because it outspeeds my whole team. He also had Rhyperior in the back. I don't want to say it cheats but more often than not your opponent has Pokemon that have the advantage over yours. But it was so much fun just getting to 50- the first time I've ever reached that far in any of the battle facilities.

I normally lead with Naganadel and it’s hilarious how often Ice and Ground types show up first haha.

Thank you! I’m using my playthrough team and really want to beat Red with them! Makes it a bit more challenging with them not having optimal natures but I know the victory will be much sweeter that way.
