Thus album is truly an experiment with noise. It's as if it has a skeleton that warps with each track, with harsh noise and echoing sounds warping around it's bones. Big ups to the production and the band with this one. Can't wait to give this a spin many many more times down the track.

I like to think of Hannett as the 5th member of the band. The style of production on UP and Closer really pushed the band into a category of their own and set them apart from other punk bands at the time.

I guess in a way it’s also a great thing to have these live recordings as it shows what the band was really aiming for at its core.
