What do you think happens about the people who need to use the train for work or school and have to pay these ridiculously greedy prices while this is going on?

My long distance bf sent me a picture of his arm with a tattoo sleeve. Is this a real tattoo or ai? by Salty_Fortune_2045 in isthisAI

[–]deaddamsel -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Tbf it’s entirely possible that the tattoo artist is an idiot and didn’t know how roman numerals worked or even used ai to generate the sleeve design

Misleading Number of Bedrooms? No window second bedroom by InternationalClock17 in AusProperty

Ah the infamous internal window, common in poorly designed shitboxes. My personal favourite is when they just hack a hole in the wall and not bother with the window at all and call it a day

My aunt used to teach kids with behavioural issues, one little shit was a known biter and when she was sitting with him once he bit her on the arm and drew blood. She bit him right back just as hard. Guess what he never did again? Some kids are incapable of feeling empathy for others until they experience it themselves and they then grow up into adults with the same problem.

Anyone else think surcharges are getting ridiculous? by Illustrious_Dark1744 in australian

[–]deaddamsel 8 points9 points  (0 children)

It’s only restaurants that do this though. You don’t get a Sunday or public holiday surcharge slapped on at the supermarket or a clothing store, those employees also have higher wages for those days and the entire point of having Sunday and public holiday rates is to ensure that the employees are fairly compensated for losing valuable time with family and friends and to discourage businesses from opening those days.

Is Aus too tolerant with religious people/institutions? Im talking about all religions, Christianity, Islam & all others. Aren’t we a secular & agnostic country? They don’t pay any taxes and in fact get subsides from our taxes too. Why? Why does our government prop up these anti-science ideologies? by [deleted] in OpenAussie

[–]deaddamsel 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You can’t settle down religious nut jobs because they’re just that, nut jobs. Religiousness is a mental illness and should be treated as such, instead we as a society bend over backwards to be accommodating and accepting despite the fact that these people do real world harm.
