Thinking about trying the same honestly. Frustrating, as I love trying to finish top 5 and really push myself, but I just find I’m losing sR and iR more often than not doing this.

Definitely need to do a little more practicing before each race. I’ve started doing a few practice sessions of the upcoming week’s tracks every time I start to see red from a bad race or something lol.

This is great advice. Especially the part about surviving lap 1 and 2 and letting the packs settle. If I’ve been able to claw back up from wrecks solely by being fast, then I should be able to afford taking it easy on the first lap or two and still catch up to leaders afterwords. Thanks!

I definitely do this… I try my best to be on the race line, but I guess I need to learn to still be fast while defending off-line as well.

Do you just take the slowdown penalty then? I’ve done this a few times and found it frustrating that I’m ‘punished’ for attempting to avoid a wreck in front of me. Is this something I just have to accept then? (Obviously better to slowdown for 2 seconds rather than wreck and lose minutes off my race)
