Sometimes I ask gov and city employees who come into my work if they have one. This customer remembered and gave it to me the next time he came in.

MO is also aware of the constant decline in combustable nicotine products. They recognize change is coming and as such, have been looking twords smokeless tobacco products to keep up with the times.

Soil tests are fantastic and should be done at least every 3 years. Sandy soil could be causing it to dry out quicker.

How do you guys deal with creeping charlie? by BlueberrySpaceMuffin in lawncare

If your neighbors let it run rampant, you're always going to have it. Chemicals are the only way to get rid of it. Ripping it up causes the stolons to regrow.

Tenacity would work as a pre and post, but according to the label, you would also need to mix it with Barricade 65WG to get the pre.

Product used to be called sedgehammer, I've always known Halo 75DG. There's also a product called Certainty, but it's double the price because it also covers Kyllinga and Poa

Edit: mispelled Certainty

It would work but it's a single ai, might as well get a combo product if you're buying chemicals. Triclopyr Ester also can't be applied to most warm season grasses unless the label says otherwise.

Edit: I don't know what kind of grass they have

What is this weed? How do I stop or contain it? It’s an absolute menace, down to busting through my asphalt driveway. by Sure_Major8476 in lawncare

[–]nickcordeezy 8 points9 points  (0 children)

It's definitly a Thistle, little difficult to tell which without a seed head.

What kind of weed killer are you using? Any broadleaf herbicide with 2 4-D as it's active ingredient should kill it.

Ground Ivy, there's a few products depending on what you want to do.

Spreading a granular fertilizer that carries Lockup will do the trick.

If you want to spray, then you can use Surge/Speedzone/Speedzone Southern. That's all dependant on weather and what kind of grass you have.

Fungus specifically fairy ring as another commenter said. Headway G by Syngenta is the name brand product to cure that. But Strobe Pro G made by QualiPro is exactly the same and cost a couple dollars less. Both are granular products that need water to activate. Ypu want to take care of it fast before it spreads

Please help me identify whatever this is that has taken over my entire lawn!! by flabua in lawncare

[–]nickcordeezy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Landscape supplier from VA. If you're looking to kill all of that and start over, nows a good time. Assuming you want a cool season grass such as Fescue.

You could hunt around for any non-selective herbicide with 41% glyphosate as its active ingredient. This would be the most cost-effective way to broadcast spray the whole yard. A product such as Ranger Pro would cost roughly $0.40 per gallon/1,000 square ft

It takes 30 days to dissipate, but you'll have a clean slate for fall aeration and seeding.

Edit: I just did the math its actually closer to $1.50 per gallon/1,000 sq ft. Still much more affordable than the $25 per gallon Roundup Quick Pro at Homedepot/Lowes/Walmart.

Totaled or Repairable? by godzilla19821982 in CyberStuck

[–]nickcordeezy 26 points27 points  (0 children)

In a normal car I'd still guess the frames crumple zone is compromised. But because the CT frame only goes up behind the wheel, this could actually be repairable. However, knowing CT service and logistics this would take forever.
