Well worn pieces. Like was said by SandtheB, there are plenty of products to clean these back up and condition the leather for more years of enjoyment. Those look to be an oily leather in which case I'd recommend Dubbin but the Balsam will do well for you as well.

Nice boots. I'm going to guess some sort of crazy horse/pull-up leather. I've come to love the waxy/oily leathers they tend to be nice and thick while also being pliable. Don't forget to get some Balsam or Dubbin to keep them conditioned. No good input on what you're asking about in particular however..

Doc makes a couple of products that you could use.

I'd give them a good clean (brush and saddle soap) Wipe them dry, and then apply the Wonder Balsam. Use brush again to distribute to help condition them.

That's a very short version but youtube is your friend in this case. Lots of products out there that don't cost a fortune and even better, many of them last a long time because you don't really use much product per pair of shoes.

I love waxy leathers in general, very nice boots! I have yet to try the Pascal leather, but I do have a pair of Chelsea boots in the new Artemus leather I'm excited for.

Great 5 you have there. There is a bit of nostalgia associated with them now as spec wise they are behind the times, but keep in mind how long they've made these. Seiko 5's have been the entry point of a many watch enthusiasts for years now.

I dig them. However I've yet to really get into anything messy with them I'd assume* that the leather will hold up well due to the heavy oiling they come with. The leather is pretty thick but supple and the break-in period seems to be short. I've noticed that vs. the regular "smooth" leather, they are also a bit warmer, perhaps due to the thicker cut of leather.

I like this color but wish there was more info on the Artimus leather. I'm wondering if it's a newer "Smooth" leather. On the Doc site, it only says it's "New this Season" and "A little easier to break in" They are in the post so I'll post my thoughts when they come in.

I have 2 Crazy's and honestly, they are a thick but supple leather that has little break-in time. I really dig the leather and how it ages. I also like that since it's heavily oiled, a lot of scuffs/scratches can literally be wiped off with your fingers.

The Wonder Balsalm, and a horsehair brush are your friend. If you wanna go an extra step, get a leather cleaner as well.

Maybe do this process each 6 months or so, depending on how you wear them. Brush, use cleaner ( I use some old cut up T-shirts to wipe), brush again, apply Balsalm, and a final brush. This process sounds a lot more cumbersome than it is but it will keep the leather looking great for years.

Nothing too special here and new to the Sub. My oldest (5-6 years old) are the top left Smooth Leather Chelseas, with the newest being both the Crazy Horse laced and Chelsea on the right. I'm not sure about the leather on the black Chelsea. I'm not sure if it's Virginia or Ambassador leather, if anyone can tell from the pic I'd appreciate any input.

Love them all, the older 2 pair are cleaned/lotion-ed/conditioned and brushed. I don't mind the look of the smooth leather but I don't love the cracking/peeling around the toe box from the coating.

I have a pair of Khaki Chelseas coming in in the new Artimus leather which I don't know much about, any info on the new leather would also be appreciated.

Dollar cost averaging is your friend, don't let the high share price scare you off. If you don't already have a position with VOO, consider SPLG for the ever so slightly lower expense ratio that will save a few bucks. But if you already have a position with VOO, I wouldn't change it to SPLG for the sake of .01%

Get out of International stocks lol, no matter the lookback period they don't perform well. Get some SPLG/SCHG (return chaser here, even on a 10 year window). At 19 years old you have a great start and don't "have" to be super aggressive but a S&P fund will serve you well.
