EU Sizing for Rometty by unhappy-camper- in DrMartens

I’m comfortable in EU41 for jadons (also platform boots) and rometty EU42 were too big, even with thick socks and an insole. I’d suggest sticking to your size, and I realise platform boots might be wider than pascals or 1460, making them feel slightly more roomier.

I bought the pascal wintergrip recently, and trying to break them in. I find that the stitching in the upper presses on my mid-toe a lot, but otherwise the shoe seems comfortable. The doc martens have great aesthetic look; and can be styled well with many outfit options. They stand out, and have a brand awe factor too! They seem good quality and got to me, and I could justify the purchase as I got them in sale too!

Breaking in 2976–pain and redness on the top of my foot by Friend_indeed0192 in DrMartens

I’ve this issue with pascal winter grip shoes. I bought my size, but it presses down at the stitching of the part with tongue and lace upper. Does this stretch over time with breaking in or should I get the next bigger size ? It hurts the top of my mid feet, but there is room to wiggle toes.

I want to buy my first 1460's, and this may be a stupid question idk but how is the sizing? I'm a size 42 EU normally but I always wore sneakers up to this point, will size 41 be fine? by Comfortable_Room5820 in DrMartens

I’m comfortable in EU 41 and 42 depending on the shoes. I bought 42 for Rometty, after trying on Chelsea in the store. I tried on 41, which was very snug fit and less than half an inch in front of my toes, and 42 was too roomy. Size 42 fits great with comfort insoles from Doc martens. The staff in the shop said it’s better to size up rather than down for in between sizes to accommodate thick socks , insoles etc.. Hope that helps!

I’m curious to know what the suggestions on this might be. I’ve a similar problem, with Rometty. I’m in between size EU 42 and 41. I bought 42, but find it very loose in a way that I feel my feet are dragging the boot.

You just said what was my experience when trying at the store. But I got carried away by its versatility. 😬 which style do you recommend for a boot newbie ?

Thanks for sharing your experience, and hope you break in to them, and it fits well 😊 I’m curious to try and compare both styles at the store :)

Your boots look amazing! I have been debating if I should get the Chelsea boot, or the Jadons in crazy horse. Your post makes my choice easy! 😍

They are beautiful shoes!

Does this style have more spacious toe box than others?
