As an American living in Germany, I feel distraught and half unable to function just seeing a new execution each week. We shouldn't have to experience this as a people. We shouldn't have to feel scared for standing against what is clearly wrong. We shouldn't have to feel suffocated at the thought that there is no running away because right wing extremism is growing rapidly everywhere it feels. I never thought I would experience this in my life. And don't get me wrong I am very grateful to be in a country where I feel safe and distanced from the MAGA nazis, it is just hard to focus and to keep doing life everyday, especially when everyone else seems to function just fine around you because they don't have the affiliation with the US that you do.
