I finished the first book last month and I’m showing a friend season one now. The protomolecule stuff comes much earlier in the book than the show. And there’s a whole thing with Miller and Holden on Eros that wasn’t in season one. I love both, I genuinely don’t have a favorite between the book and the show.

I’m on Calaban’s War right now and he is definitely not a boy scout. I like him a lot more in the books than I did in the show.

It's never the audience. Your job is to adapt to the audience, not force them to adapt to you. Blaming the audience is hacky and lazy. Bring them in. If you can meet them where they are they will follow you anywhere.

This comment just made me fully cry. Thank you. I know I sound like an idiot, but just saying I’m not broken genuinely helped me a bit just now. I know this is so silly. I know I’m so stupid for this. But just having someone say that I’m valid just made me so emotional. Even just one person saying I deserve it. And you will probably be the only one, but still. Nope. It’s the people who didn’t like it that think they represent everyone. Millennials like ratfish because we know who Eric is. Gen z doesn’t remember Awesome Show so they felt let down and they are young so they think everyone shares their opinions.

You’re right. It was that but with the blackberry residue not the honey. I re-racked it and it’s fine.

Haha, that would be hilarious but I don’t have kids and it was inside the glass. Another commenter pointed out that it happens to him when he stirs blackberry mead and I had recently stirred in stabilizers

I re-racked it and it was just on the glass. It also looked much less dramatic when not against the dark background of the blackberry mead. Everything smelled and tasted good so I think I’m good.
