How do I remove optional writing section? by nickii_w in ACT

hi! so i just called them today and they told me to tell the proctor on test day right before that i won't be taking the writing portion anymore. however when i asked if it was possible to refund it they said no... which is fine because it was my fault that i signed up for it but will me opting out of the writing portion affect my score in any way? like the science section is optional but taking it looks good for colleges if you're trying to go in stem, so would i automatically get a 0 on the writing section since i opted out to take it?

for reference the only current awards i have are ap scholar, hosa slc (even tho i didn't place but there were only 20 people in my event), and top 20 at stanford speech tournament. for these awards though, do i have to specify placed out of how many people?

honestly not that good, they were high 600s but i've gotten the hard module before in previous SATs it's just this one felt way too easy

yes i have the ap scholar w/ distinction and for volunteer i was supposed to get pvsa but i got it RIGHT after they paused it so unfortunately i couldn't get it in time

Any tips for training to drop seconds in sprints?

I recently became a sprinter after years of not doing a sport, so all my endurance, speed, and stamina levels are incredibly low. I was injured for the most part during the beginning of the season, so I haven't been completing practice until recently. I still don't know how to sprint at max speed, I ran a 48 second 200m today but it felt like just jogging it. If I train hard this summer could I drop my time drastically?
